So the exclusive was supposed to be the next "grail" - is that still the case?

i have been waiting for this statue for an eternity from play.com in the uk, there release date keep being put back, an example is the predator dio was released in june and they still havent got it , so i pulled the trigger on a thor pf on ebay and got it for £299.00 this morning , i know its a lot of money but i think this item will appreciate in value in the future , i didnt get it to flip it , but i just had to get it , so do you guys think i paid over the top?

just an update on the previous post above , i got in touch with the seller that i purchased thor from ,by the way i had not paid him yet, and i said i had to pull out of the sale due to finance reasons (the reason was i could get it on play.com for £100 cheaper ) i told him i was very sorry for wasting his time and money , but he was ok with it , he said we just do mutual no sale , and that way he gets his fees back , so now i got the thor foe £100 less my question is to people would you have done the same thing as i did , because i did feel a little bit guilty for a while.

At the end of the day collecting is an expensive business, any money you can save is a bonus and lets face it £100 is a LOT of money to save! Id have done the same in a heart beat.

I still left my pre-order with Play. I called to cancel but it was already in the packing stage... seems like I'll be stuck with 2 Thor PFs

If you don't want 2 then just return your Play order.
Once you receive it, dont open it and call them, they will let you know how to return it for a full refund

when you say you called to cancel , did you actually speak to someone , because surely they could have canceled it for you before it is posted , it dont make sense that they have it there already , and then they will post it and then you will have to return it

Even if you speak to someone, unfortunately once it goes to the packing status they cannot cancel it, they're not able to.
I know cos im going through the same thing with the Bruce Lee PF, it hasnt been sent yet, but because its now as 'packing' they cannot cancel. All I can do is telephone them when i receive it and tell them I want to send it back, do that and then wait for the refund
Stupid rule if you ask me, especially when they have processed it BEFORE the due date...

Hiya pal, yeah the items are sent from Jersey, the call centre im not sure but the girl I spoke to last night was Welsh.
I think youre right, she did say they were not in the same building, whether that means they are not in the same place at all who knows Ah well it'll get sorted eventually I guess.

My broken wing thor is the regular edition.

I have contacted and sent pics to my local retailer. They will forward the info to Sideshow. I hope I will get a replacement. No way will I settle anything else for this superb piece.

You should receive it tommorrow, or Tuesday at the very latest... Heavy/expensive items from Play take 24hrs to arrive, after dispatch...

And on a side note, get ready to be blown away by Thor! Just dont take too much sugar all day, you may not get any sleep that night otherwise

I cant stop looking at pictures of this piece on the net, really cant wait especially since i thought the play order never come though! I'm off tomorrow so will be up bright and early ready for it AND the possibility of my excl Captain America PF arriving..... tomorrow has the potential to be a great day

As much as I love the Thor PF, the Capt. America PF is still my favorite. I own the Ex. versions for both, and the Captain Ex. has much more potential than the Thor Ex in terms of display. Both have that awesome presence, but Captain just stands out more in my opinion. I'm not saying Thor isn't awesome because HE IS!!! But Captain holds his own IMO.

Anyways, CONGRATS!!! You have two of the BEST Marvel PF's on their way. :chew

Thanks, Have to say as excited as i am about Thor im more so for Cap America, Hes easily my favourite comic book character and will look great next to the Red skull i've already got
