i have been waiting for this statue for an eternity from play.com in the uk, there release date keep being put back, an example is the predator dio was released in june and they still havent got it , so i pulled the trigger on a thor pf on ebay and got it for £299.00 this morning , i know its a lot of money but i think this item will appreciate in value in the future , i didnt get it to flip it , but i just had to get it , so do you guys think i paid over the top?

£299 is a very reasonable price. How much did you pay for delivery/was it a UK seller? I paid £320 for mine. It's been almost 2 weeks and I still haven't received it

My play.com order now says packing even though the website states the release date as the 05/12/08. Just checked my bank balance online and it would appear that they have charged me as well.

I paid £243 but Id also had $45 knocked off, so total will be around £270 for the EX I got.

thats a good deal for an ex , have you got it yet or will you be expecting import duty and vat on top of that .

that seems strange considering they have put the order back to the 5th of december, maybe they have got definate word that they are here and just waiting untill they get them in hand . only thing is i am pissed off if they have them because i could have save £100 if i would have waited

strange, the definition that play gives for packing as mine does is

What does ‘Packing’ mean?

• Payment for your order has been successfully processed.
• Your order is now being prepared for dispatch.

it doesnt seem to give a definition for processing (that i can see). Might be worth giving them a call

First up, I'm really sorry man - I can only imagine how upset I'd be if the same happened to me. I'd ask if you took warranty? that's mostly only if you bought on eBay... if you got it direct from SideShow then surely as the guys here have said, they'll have replacement EX heads to ship to you?

If it's not an EX but you got it from SideShow, the they could also send you a replacement PF... perhaps even an EX to sweeten the deal ;-)

On another note, it's HERE!!!!!

My Thor PF arrived this morning, and it's the best statue I've seen all my life. The level of detail here is STAGGERING. I'm sorry I hardly use caps but this is the exception LOL.

Secondly, it is HUGE, like un-friggingly real huge. I wasn't sure how it'll compare to Moon Knight and He-Man (my two largest statues so far, clocking in @ aroun 18.5") but next to Thor, they hardly even enter the picture! Don't even get me started on the detail, even the box should count as a collectors item. I still can't get over it!!! :chew:chew

I've included a few pics for comparison, but seriously guys am I the only one that's blown away by the size!?

This is the best money I've spent all year. The dude even included a brand new sealed copy of ULTIMATUM - the Marvel comic event of 09..
