Firstly, sorry to hear about the breakage Bmutha. I recently sold mine to a fellow freak who is paying for it in installments and then picking it up from me personally in a few months time. It was because of avoiding certain damage that i requested for the Thor PF to be collected rather than courier it, it was just way too risky for such a fragile piece and not only that but i would just be in bits if i recieved it back in damaged condition. Really hope you can resolve it bro, i feel gutted that it was an EX that got damaged...as they are even rarer!!! :slap

Yes, it was a major bummer. I got it for a great price, too, and from a fellow Canadian, so there were no added customs/BS charges for shipping.

I have read that the reg edition has the head fixed in place...can anyone confirm whether this is the case? If the head is removable, maybe I can hunt down a reg for a replacement body...

I have 2 regular Thor PF's Bmutha, and i can confirm that the regular head is stuck on! :(

:monkey4 That blows. I wonder why Sideshow would have done that.

What a disaster. I hope freaking UPS is reasonable and honors the refund for the full value (it was insured, thank god).

SSC apparently permanently fixed quite a few of the regular heads for a number of pieces. I'm sure there was a logical reason for this. I think they still do it now :dunno

What price was the insurance Bmutha? Being an Exclusive it must have been quite high? Can it not be fixed?

I think it was around $100 to ship it...honestly not sure how much of that cost was for the insurance.

I haven't looked into repairs too hard just yet. It would be difficult to re-attach the leg becuase I assume the fabric would have to be cut. The only thing I can think of is to put in some kind of peg or dowel for the left foot to hold it in place. :dunno

Man that sucks about your Thor Bmutha. I really hope you manage to work something out. The fact that its an Ex make's it that little worse.

I just got the Reg CA PF yesterday. That's the same, even the shield arm is fixed on which surprised me.

man that sucks....i just looked at my Thor and i see no way possible to repair him if his legs where broken, everything on him is fabric to the fabric would have to be cut for sure. the only thing i would suggest is to strip the fabric, repair the leg and just paint the legs black. Or you could completely strip him and go the fully sculpted route like others have done. I had to do it with one of mine cause the chest had a small hole in the fabric.

Sorry to hear about your thor that's a shame

The idea about re sculpting isn't a bad idea somebody had it made into a modern thor and it looked awesome

Yes...THIS. How do I go about getting this done, anyone know?

Greatwall, I have PM'd you about this...could you put me in touch with the local artist you had do this for you (I live in Edmonton, so I can drive down to Calgary for drop off and pick-up)? I figure mine is a perfect candidate for this.

Looks damn awesome. When I found out RobertoBaggio had 2 of these I was trying to get him to customise one of his like this :)

Ha! The are some pieces that are so good that I just would never customise them. The sculpt, paintwork and mixed media of the Thor PF is a work of Art, i coulld never touch it :)

True...but what if one of yours had a broken leg? Might be worth it...I'm exploring all avenues on what to do with mine. I can't display it as is.

i got one of mine done as well. Greatwalls was a Reg version and in the opinion of the sculpter was harder to do than the Ex. version as the head comes off of the Ex. version.

It's not cheap though so if your interested I can get you in contact with the sculpter if you'd like. he is in calgary and presently is working on my Rhino, as well as other pieces i'd assume.

Yes, please pass on the sculpter info. I will send you a PM.

Thanks!

I was thinking could you use a Syringe to glue the leg back. That way you wouldn't need to take the cloth off your Thor. Just a thought

That's not a bad idea...but I need to prove to UPS that a repair is going to cost big bucks so that I can get enough of my money back to get that custom modern Thor. Your idea is so good that it would cost like $5...so, forget that you ever mentioned it :devil :)
