This statue is a rarity as I actually prefer the movie version than this comic version.... Which always is the other way around :dunno

I meant as compare to the film, not actual Pf of movie(I agree looks horrible) and this new Pf.

1) which smart guy decided to give thor a sword as the exclusive? why not just give him a rocket launcher while you at it
2) the pose (see below)
3) another attempt at cash grab by jacking the price up $40-50 on top of the new $400.

Waited since the first day i started collecting for a comic modern thor, but sideshow is really trying hard to destroy this statue, very disappointed.

Everything wrong with a statue, is represented in this photo below. /shake head

EDIT: After looking at the photos n times, i finally realized why it looks so off. It's the way the hand is raised and how the arm isn't straight. Below is what the left arm should looked like to make this pose work.

Understand there is zero chance sideshow listens to anyone, so this is a lost cause. Very sad as i really want a modern comic thor.

As difficult as this is for me I agree with you 100%. I wanted a modern Thor as badly as anyone but I just really feel a punch to the gut on the laziness of this whole ordeal.

I wouldn't say that the pose is lazy. I'm sure that a lot of hard work and time went into it. But it feels over produced. The pose was taken a touch too far, and from some angles he looks grossly contorted.

I'm hoping he looks great in person, because the suit and the details look incredible.

The more I look at the picture's of this statue, the more I like it. I probably wouldn't display Thor without his hammer but it is nice to have options (Sword = millions times better than a print, thanks for listening SSC). Both details and pose for this statue are very nice.

I think, although the left hand looks strangely contorted, it probably lines up more with Thor tossing his hammer, than the sword.

If we can just get a low exclusive size...

The sword switch out is a huge wtf for me... and I'm still not too sure about the other hand either. Too bad because it's 90% there minus those two issues. A swinging effect hammer use have been the best exclusive.

Could be a low ex es. Captain America was 1000.

Yea and with the amount of people complaining already about this piece the initial orders will likely be lower than one would expect for such a highly anticipated character causing SSC to adjust their ES accordingly...then again who knows.

...as long as I have one in my collection I could care less what the final ES is...

So again..How was the question answered? I was one of the ones talking to Igo about this and I said that he still managed to avoid the question in a very playful way and he bashed me and another forum member saying basically that we are dimwits and need to learn how to read exactly like you are doing. If you would like to question my literacy then go ahead, but this is an online forum and I can honestly care less, I have earned my college diploma so that accusation means nothing to me. Someone asked him if he would ever *not* stand behind a piece because he is a Sideshow employee, his answer was beating around the bush and my response was not hounding him, but he returns some comments without thinking. I think if he would take a breath and think about what he is typing sometimes then he would be super cool. He does give some really good info on PF's and it is cool to be able to get sneaks like we do from him. Quit sniffing his butt all the time though, we get it that there are scrappy forum members, but when you dish all of that sarcasm all of the time you can guarantee you'll get some back occasionally..

Jedi he did answer the question, to the best of his ability. He basically said that there are pieces that he or the team didin't bring their A Game to, and that he couldn't obsess over them, and he just tried to grow. It was a clear and concise answer. I am sorry, but the guy can't be held responsible if people can't read or understand the answer. I am not defending him. He does a great job himself, but I will say that as an artist I got the answer entirely. Sometimes your orphane a piece. You do the best you can do with the time you have, but when the deadline hits you have to move on.
