I think it looks great so far but I would have preferred the Ribic costume he wears now....he only wore that modern version with the sleeves for a few years in the comics

This Thor run has been spectacular, I love everything about Ribic and Aaron's Thor. I would definitely buy a statue based on this.

I'm very excited about this!

I feel like every day a lot of us are asking for Magneto, Daredevil, Jean Phoenix, Loki, Juggernaut and Modern Thor... so it feels like SS actually listened because this is the costume a lot of us wanted.

Loving the dynamic pose. I'm seeing the complaints but I love the mid-action pose this has. They already did the stoic lifted hammer in the air pose on the classic and movie PF, this will go well with other Avengers PFs that are in movement (Hawkeye, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, new Cap, new Green Hulk)

... But I have Superman and Apoc on the way, Plus I'm getting Green Hulk and now this. So many larger characters is EXPENSIVE!!!! But better SS get them out now with these rising prices, I can only imagine what these larger characters will cost next year.

Well he wore the PF costume longer than his current Ribic suit. ;)

But if you notice a number of the last few Marvel PF's depict the characters as they appeared in the late 2000's (2006-2009.) Gladiator Hulk, Captain America Reborn Cap, and now Thor "Volume 3" version. I'm guessing that they went with the sleeved look for Thor because 1. They've probably been working on this since before the new Marvel Now Ribic run and 2. It was probably the most direct inspiration for his movie look giving it some crossover comic/movie appeal.

I think EX will have his left hand holding the hammer up instead, and right hand would also switch out so it doesn't have the hammer. It would look like he's summoning lightning with hammer lift up, might actually make more sense for this pose imo.

It adds up. I've slowed down so much. I maybe get 1-2 pieces a year now. Last year, I didn't get anything. This year will be a bit more with the Spidey pieces coming out, but between room and cost, just won't do it like I used to. :lol

Well I wanted the four original main Avengers in comic form that I like; Cap, Iron Man, Thor and Hulk. This year takes care of two. Plus I still need Daredevil, Ghost Rider and Moon Knight to round my Marvel collection...then I just need DC :lol

I agree. I think that's what it will be.

I dig it. The action bowen thor is a an amazing piece, but I really like this one as well. Can't wait to see the EX.

:fireworks YES!!!!!!! :fireworks

One of my two biggest wants and he looks incredible!

I have the original ex and will keep it but I'm so happy with this pose. His head isn't turned way off to the side, up, down, or away from the front, but instead is concentrated right on the action. They got him right and this will be a first day (or minute) PO for me. :rock

not feeling that hand at all. Hopefully it is removeable so I can get someone to sculpt me a new one.

Happy with it otherwise, although I would have preferred a classic version.

This one looks great, but im still gonna keep my comic version IMO. Me liking the base its look awesome. BTW, who sculpted this one?

According to Igo: "Pablo Viggiano for everything except Matt Black on the portrait."

Hehe, you beat me to it.

Nice thinking. The way his left arm is flexed, though, I'm not so sure about that.

lus I still need Daredevil, Ghost Rider and Moon Knight to round my Marvel collection...

DD is coming. It's an onslaught.

Man, I hope this is a joke. If this is true and we see this before a possible Hulk vs Wolverine dio...I don't even have the words.

If you aren't familiar with the awesomeness of Walt Simonson Thor Frog, you have no legs to stand on sir.

I wish this would have been the Ex...but I highly doubt it, as we ve never saw SS offering two switchable hands before ( correct me if am wrong). It could be a COH
