Well, finding ANY PF in the REGULAR edition is as easy as finding Where's Waldo at a 50 cent concert...... It's usually the exclusive edition that's hard to find, ESPECIALLY for PF's that sell out within hours! I already have a regular on PO, it's just the exclusive that I want to get my hands on
That comic shop order wont get you this awesome mug:
I would love if Sideshow started making little stands similiar to the nice stands for the LOTR helms to display exclusive parts on. Like what Hot Toys is doing with the Mark II but in a larger scale.
Exclusive heads serve their purpose. They give you the option of changing the look if you want but also if you're in a pinch they'll command a higher pricepoint in the secondary market which is a nice touch not to mention with some pieces you want both like Cap and its easier to get a regular for under retail on the secondary market then it is to get an exclusive for retail if you are looking later.

While I agree that buying an Exc up front is a worthy purchase, I think I did alright for someone who just jumped into the PF bandwagon just a few weeks ago.
At the end of the day, I can only show off Thor or Captain America with one head or one shield at a time and since I don't care about flipping (these will be passed down to my son), I think paying under $300 for the "Reg" edition isn't to shabby!
Besides, even if I had the Exc, I would still display him with the clean shaven unmasked face.
My Wolverine Comiquette came with the unmasked Wolverine, that head has never made it on him. Yes at the time it made sense to pay a little extra for that head yet in the box it still remains.
Just as much work went into the Reg as it did the Exc, or am I wrong?
2 heads are not always better than one.......
Well, umm, are you sitting?
I was so desperate to buy a Cap America that I just payed $477.00 for a Regular edition on Ebay!
Yup, I wanted it bad.
Yet I didn't feel the need to pay $550-$670 for the Exclusive!
What I payed was bad enough, they can keep the extra shield, head and German helmet for all I care!
I was going to diplay him Modern anyways.
Now that I know PF is the only way to go, I will be doing the smart thing and preordering from them.
I had to own the Cap, just had to...
I couldn't leave Thor all by his lonesome. They're both Reg editions, they'll get along.
We all say this, "I wish I knew about these earlier." I know I said the same thing. You aren't that late into the game, so don't sweat it. Just keep your eyes peeled for the newsletter on Thursdays and you'll do fine. If you have any Thor PF, you're ahead of the game for anyone just now getting into the hobby. But be careful, this stuff is more addicting than crack*.

I feel horrible reading all these stressed posts filled with grief and nervousness.
You'll soon find out that procrastinating collectors come here to complain. Everyone has a chance to order this stuff. It's free to preorder and free to cancel.
Some people forget to order (as much as they hang here I don't see how), some people don't make arrangements with a friend to order for them, some people pass and have to think about preordering (even though is free) to then complain when an item sells out quick the next day, some people give up when the site is slow....take your pick, you'll find them all in here.
Collecting this stuff takes a little bit of effort, some awareness of what day of the week it is (Thursdays at 9pm) and some disposable income. You'll be alright.
I do have one on reserve from another member, but JUST in case something may happen I just want to have one SECURED from sideshow's WL
Well I wouldn't say that 2 heads are better that the one but its nice to be able to change the display every now and then. While I agree that buying an Exc up front is a worthy purchase, I think I did alright for someone who just jumped into the PF bandwagon just a few weeks ago.

Dude, I love that Cap vs. Iron Man gif you have. I always knew Cap was one of the best hand to hand combants in the world but that gif really shows him in action. I would love for a movie of him to come out. Something like Bourne Ultimatum/Identity action with a little James Bond thrown in, wow I get nervous just thinking about it.Agreed getting a SSC Marvel EX PF for cost is a really good thing.
Well I wouldn't say that 2 heads are better that the one but its nice to be able to change the display every now and then.
Thanks I'm pretty sure that gif is from the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance video game.Supposedly there's a script for a Cap flick being written now. With Marvel writing and producing the movies now,we saw in IM how good they will be.We should see both Captain America and Thor movies soon as they have to be made before the promised Avengers movie which will have all of them in it.
I heard of this game and I may have to buy it. As far as the movie goes, if Cap is done right (with a good villian selection) it could be a block buster movie. Thanks I'm pretty sure that gif is from the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance video game.Supposedly there's a script for a Cap flick being written now. Sounds like a good year for Marvel. Any news on a Sub Mariner movie?Iron Man 2 starts the summer movie season 2010 at the end of April or start of May (can't remember) and the Thor movie is set for June 4, 2010. Captain America is coming summer 2011 followed by The Avengers in July, i think.
