Can you blame em? This is the first movie i could care less what the reviews are. That FIRST trailer I was already sold. Even if the second reviews pull a 180 and this thing bombs i bet i will enjoy it way more than thor2[emoji23]

I have more faith in this than anything coming from the MCU after it, but I'm still going to remain a bit cautious. Critics (more or less) said the same things about CW... and that wasn't my cup of tea. Setting your expectations low for CBMs as a safeguard is the best way to do it IMO.

*I know I said I was going to vacate the thread just this morning, but **** it. Posts from my friends here show up on my activity anyway LOL.

THIS:exactly:

Kinda the same feeling I got when I saw the first IM trailer and really the last part of the TWS teaser e.g. the *ominous* footsteps and then that metal hand reaching for the shield - just IMO the right elements that grab me, like IM walking away in the IM 1 trailer and there's that burning tank.

Been burned by trailers before LOL:lol but there was just this ENERGY about the first Thor: Raganarok trailer. I watched over and over. Nothing I've seen since doesn't seem to match what feels like is gonna be the best Thor yet:rock. And anyway both Thor and BP somehow are leading to Infinity War (so it has been said....) no way I wouldn't be watching this.:drool

(And also love the idea that this past summer we've had (up to and ending with Thor) films that have serious-ness but lots of fun; and apparently that will end with Thor. E.g. whole world audience is *complacent* and *happy* and then BP's gonna come along and the IW is gonna beat us up so badly *the audience needs to be prepared*. OMG this all such a ride:clap

I've embargoed myself re films. Quarantine. It sux and it feels weird. You can't even click on a news site 'coz some article title may be screaming at you. I gave up *shrug* figure it's never the same, even if I'm spoiled, as seeing for myself. I mean I knew all of TFA and about Solo ahead of time and it didn't affect my enjoyment of the film at all.

I'll occasionally read the plot synopsis of a film on Wikipedia if it's something I don't want to be surprised by (and still be able to enjoy it even if I already know how it begins and ends) - although this is not one of those instances.

However, since this comes out about a week in advance for most of Europe, I expect that they'll be plenty of illegally recorded movie clips leaked onto YouTube and so forth by Halloween - which I may just break down and watch before I see the entire movie in the theatre if the thumbnails alone give away enough.

More from lastnights critic screening.

“It is relentlessly entertaining” as per John Campea.

Others said a Taika Waititi movie thru and thru.

Plus the best use of Hulk so far.

Man if JL and SW deliver the goods should be a great 2 months ahead of us.
