Looks like your typical Marvel movie with a typically bland villain and humor shoehorned in for no reason. They wasted Hugo Weaving, Lee Pace, Jeff Bridges, Mickey Rourke, and Mads Mikkelsen and now they'll waste the brilliant Cate Blanchett in another villain searching for some trinket she needs to take over the universe or something.

Pass.

I'm sorry , but how in the hell was Jeff Bridges wasted ? He was the best character

Can't say awesome enough. Someone take some of this awesomeness away cause Mr. Green got some more.

Looks great!

I liked the first Thor but not the second one. Hela looks amazing! Loved the joke, and I liked the narration. I kinda hope the movie is like that with Thor narrating.

Looks exactly how I expected it would.

And much better than the previous 2 Thor movies, on that alone I take it!

Kinda sad that of a trilogy of thor films the third one is the best :lol

BVS was riddled with Philosophy 101 tropes. And you could tell the writers thought they were being profound because they kept reminding you of these basic-ass themes every five minutes. Gods, devils, yadda yadda. Taking itself so seriously despite hocking grade school-level substance.

One of its many problems.

Yup, that's me, you're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation...

Gotta say, I wasn't a big fan of the short hair, but..."It's supposed to represent his power being diminished, like Samson. It rhymes with the first movie, and it's going to show his slow recovery and surpass his former strength. He's getting his hair back, along with the ultimate mjolnir, by Infinity War"

Trailer looks great. Hela in headdress looks fantastic, Loki with a new horned helm, Valkyrie on Pegasus, Executioner, Heimdall rocking dreds. Would have been cool if Goldblume was blue. The Hulk fight is going to be the crowd pleaser no doubt.

You mean the same generic corporate stooge that had become a staple of Marvel superhero films at that point, along with Norman Osbourne and Victor Von Doom.

Marvel's going this way with everything now.

Very different than DC's choice of pious and unfortunate.

Marvel = Every film feels the same and has the same tone and look, like they could have been made by anyone.
DC = Every film is unique and different and showcases the different voices from their respective directors.

And how exactly is every film unique and different when Zack Snyder is directing more than 50% of them? The action in MOS, BvS, and JL all looks exactly the same. Even WW action looks very Snyder-esque.

Looks like Valkyrie may have originally had the metal bra and blue cape

before Hela presumably kicks her army's ***** and sends her to the gladiator planet.

That's literally Obadiah's whole thing. He was a corporate guy who did a takeover of Stark industries when Tony fell off the wagon. And same goes for Norman, except he liked playing dress up and messing with an 18 YO. I'll give you DOOOOM. But that was Fox, so I don't see the point in bringing it up, especially when FF came out in 2005 or so.

LOL....wow. Yeah shame on Marvel for making a shared universe look and feel alike from movie to movie.

And I bet they fellated themselves when they came up with the 'granny's peach tea' line. So bloody self-important.

Beyond stoked for Ragnarok because 1) it knows what it is/doesn't condescend and 2) it looks, you know, fun.

Damnnnn that's harsh.

I like it,

So if Hela is that powerful how stong will gloved Thanos be!

Marvel sure is playing with fire here.

Can't wait for BW to try her scissor twirl on Thanos.

Man of Steel has a very Americana feel about it, being shot mostly handheld, giving it a lived in feel and a sense of urgency to the action rarely seen in this genre on this scale. BvS is downright operatic. The shots are big, longer, wider, steadier, with a more classically cinematic feel, because it's dealing making the duel more than just man vs. alien, but rage vs. compassion. Fear vs. understanding. Justice League has a distinctly more "alive" quality about it based on what we've seen thus far. But that works because we've dealt with our heroes being brought to their lowest point. It will feel more powerful because BvS went so dark, which is how it was planned from the beginning. It's just not just snarky one-liner, action set piece, snarky one-liner, action set piece, ad nauseum, like Marvel likes to do. Which is fine, there's nothing wrong with that really. It just leaves me feeling empty. I still remember coming out of the preview show of Iron Man 3 and barely remembering anything about what I saw, so banal was the whole event, which pretty much sums up most of Marvel's films.

I'd have said Phase 1 of MCU had different feels between movies. Hulk and Iron Man aren't alike. Captain America was a different time period and different feel with a very WW2 army type feel to it. Thor again had a different Shakespearean feel, probably mostly due to Branagh. Granted things a bit more formulaish now with Ant-Man and Dr Strange not varying too much form the normal origin storyline.. But aside from the 'hero discovers powers or loses and has to get them back', 'betrayed or discovers an arch nemesis and has a final showdown', and 'has a love interest'.. The original Avenger solo movies never felt like a formula cloning process.
