This is why many girls give up their life of collecting hot toys and go into the life of prostitution, wider legs = wider profit margins.

Same for the human slavery trafficking cartels, much better returns selling a real slave Leia than a toy slave Leia.

The Dark Side is STRONG with this one. :lecture :lol

I just don't like wasting my time with condescending people.

Fact: Opinions of others means nothing.
Reality: But spends their time on a forum comprised solely of the opinions of others.

Lego WILL NOT last forever in popularity or collecting- that is silly to even think that. In years to come some new advanced building toy using some new tech will break through and be the "in" builder toy for decades ..we can't even begin to imagine what's to come.
Just like Ht- they will be looked at as as an odd diversion from the past when far more advanced techniques will bring us 1/6 figures so life-like it will shock you.

:lol

The only guaranteed way to make money is to distribute and take your little cut. Doesn't matter if it sells or sits on the shelf for eternity, you just deliver to your retailers and take your cut. Volume.

I'm guessing in-home printing is the future of creative toy building for future kids. Why buy Legos when you can make your own...anything?

I just hope this movie isn't "GOTG Vol. Thor" in reality.
It has Underworld and Ragnarok, the third act HAS TO BE SERIOUS!

Cue "We are the Champions" by Queen as Thor -- in slo mo of course -- flies through the air beheading his enemies while screaming. He lands in typical 3-point superhero stance and delivers the line: I feel good.

Cue James Brown song as Thor charges the giants -- in slo mo of course --

*rinse and repeat*

Kids today play with less and less toys as they are consumed and engaged with electronic devices... Ipod's, tablets, portable video games and home consoles, and whatever is next. Every generation looks for the stuff they had as kids. As time goes on, maybe we should invest in useless electronics as one day maybe they will become nostalgic and be worth big money. And they are rarer than any toy as most people broke them and threw them out in the trash, or some company bought them for recycling. Wonder if my all digital Toshiba portable cassette player is worth anything? Or my Portable CD player with anti-skip protection?? :lol I have the original Iphone in perfect condition with the box and even the included charging stand. Maybe one day my kids can sell it for a ridiculous amount of money!!! :)

As a side note the only toys my son still plays with are lego's, but only because we enjoy building them together. And as far as rarity?? Every couple years Lego makes a newer, better version of the same Star Wars set. Look at the new UCS Snowspeeder at $199. Just re-released and nicer, while the previous one was selling for like $700 - $1000... So who's gonna buy that now? And the Millenium Falcon is rumored to be re-released as well. I feel bad for anyone that paid $2000 for a ship that's about to be outdated by a newer better one for $399.

I'm sure there will be a generation of adults who want that stuff on there mantel or on a bookshelf display in their study.

I know some guys who have glorious collections of old super8 movie cameras.
