I came >this close< to getting a photo of my Son in his Agent Coulson costume with Tom Hiddleston on the Marvel stage today, but it didn't happen.

We got there about an hour in advance, asked if it was possible, and the Marvel people (who are always AMAZING) made it happen. With hoards of people waiting to see TH, they parted the crowd, brought us right up front and we got to sit at the bottom of the stage, about 10' from where he entered, and where he signed autographs for an hour.

Then they grabbed us and told us to get at the end of the line. We were probably 5-6 people from getting to him, and he was abruptly whisked off by his Publicist (from what we were told) in order to get to his next appointment.

Damn, so close.

It has but what needs clarification is if Thor loses his hand or not.

Some descriptions say yes, others say his hammer was knocked away, that's all.

Well,
they showed a minute or two of the battle scene that we've seen in the trailer in that big field. They're all battling, some parts showing Lady Sif battling. Thor appears, throws his hammer, it comes back (shown in the trailer). Then a sound as if something really big is coming. A big rock monster, probably 40' tall comes walking up.

Lady Sif says something like "you can have this one". The monster screams a couple of times and Thor says "I accept your surrender". Then with one swing of the hammer, he obliterates the monster and rocks fly everywhere. Then Thor says something like "Anyone else?"

The rest of the footage was a montage, more like a trailer. It's all fuzzy, now but there was definitely a part where it looked like Loki was turning someone over to Malekith. I believe it was Jane.

But most definitely the last thing we saw was the hammer flying back, Thor, I believe on one knee, Loki standing over him watching. Loki most definitely cuts his hand off at the wrist, it goes dark and you hear Thor yell "NOOOOOO".

It's quite apparent that Loki turns on Thor after he is let go. I do also remember a part where the "Warrior Three" guy with the red beard puts his sword to Loki's throat and warns that "If you turn on him, I will kill you" or something like that.

So that's a warning from him AND a warning from Thor shown in the trailer where Loki is warned that he will die if he becomes a traitor. Which I would interpret as not a good sign for Loki.

I know my Wife will be distraught if they kill him off. I've never seen her as giddy as she was last night when Hiddleston did his Loki performance at SDCC.

Wow. I'm not a comic guy anymore, but does this follow some sort of story line in the Thor comics?

Did I get this right?
Loki cuts Thor hand off?

Does Loki then reveal he's really Thors father?
Nothing is a secret anymore.
I couldn't imagine SW:ESB coming out in this day and age
with twitter and constant set leaks and SDCC.

Was that your wife screaming Loki's name lastnight in Hall H on the video.

:rotfl

Wait..there were like 2,000 girls doing that. :lol

Interesting--I saw an interview with the actor playing Tyr in Thor 2, and he casually mentioned that he shot a scene with...

...Benicio del Toro.

Loki cuts Thor hand off?

It was very fast, but it definitely ended with Thor with his hand outstretched to catch Mjiolnor (sp?). Loki was standing next to / above him (because I'm pretty sure Thor was kneeling). Loki looked at Thor, looked out as if he was looking at the hammer coming back, then struck down (I don't remember what with? a knife, a staff?) and very, very briefly I saw a shot with Thor's hand extended toward the camera, then where his hand was there was a round shape like the shape of your wrist if your hand were cut off. It was extremely fast, and was not graphic. i don't remember seeing any blood or anything, but it was SO brief. Then the screen went dark and you heard him scream.

She wasn't screaming like a school girl, but she was screaming "LOKI!!!" when he was saying "say my name!'

She did get to sit about 8 feet away from him for over an hour today and thankfully she didn't scream once then. But, she doesn't find him nearly as attractive without the costume and wig. ;)

..... if anything..... permanent.... happens to Loki I hope Marvel isprepared to deal with the intense wrath ofseveral million fangirls....who will not be shy with their opinions in public.

Let's not all forget that:

A: Loki is a master superduper illusionist

and

B: Working with Thor they could pull one over on anyone... especially if said villain believes Thor is out of commission...

Yea Thor falls for dumb **** constantly and magic exists. If he does lose a hand it'll be for all of 20 minutes so I wouldn't be sweating it thinking he's going to be handicapped in A2.

It could be a carefully placed slieght of hand by Loki.

If they really do go ahead with it, I'm gonna be thinking of how Marvel beat DC to the punch for an Aquaman arc. :lol
