I’m considering getting this, the Mark III (if my waitlist converts), and maybe Mech Test Tony since it’s on sale.

I’m selective with Marvel but I do like the first Iron Man a lot and to this day think it’s one of the best films in the MCU.

I don't think he is underscaled, the size is pretty accurate to the source. He is just Tony Stark with some armor pieces attached to him, that cave scene made him look like a beast but in fact there is no reason for him to be taller than what he actually is. We can literally see his shoes and top of his head under the armor and there is nothing to give him extra height.

Which is why the other diecsst iron men are comically oversized. Problem is, we want consistency, either all oversized or all correctly sized. One being shorter than the rest looks all wrong

Yes, i agree. But atleast Tony's feets aren't visible in other armors there could be something that gives him height boost, or it could be a CGI thing from Marvel. Because in the movie other suits appears to be taller than Mark I, i have no idea why there is a general knowledge thinking Mark I is supposed to be taller or the same size as the rest of his suits but it just isn't the case.
