But surely screen time has got to play a part? Ambush was in the film for like 2 minutes

My interest for these is purely from a toy design perspective. Movie was ok but im getting Midas just because he looks bad ass.

I guess each to their own but I need some sort of emotional connection for me to buy a figure.

I love movies. I love figures. As long as the figure looks amazing that is all the motivation I need. Main reason I buy threeA figures. There are some movies that I love but wont buy figures for. The costumes are just not impressive enough. Then there are a few that have amazing costumes combined with amazing figures and those I will trample old ladies to get.

See I need to have a connection with the movie or character for me to want to buy it. It does not need to necessarily be visually stunning as long as that emotional connection is there.

Each to their own though which is all fine and dandy

Does anybody know how long it will be before we get a full painted lit up Atom now?

I like the movie and I like this line a lot...anyone knows if there are metal parts in it? or all plastic?

^ i wouldn't think so, but the LED's and connections and batteries contain metal

Probably somewhere in the 4th quarter, when Midas will be out.
There also was an interview (for bbicn if I'm not mistaken) where threeA provided info that they are also working on Noisy Boy (they've mentioned that it is a kind of a challenge because of the complicated light-up function).

We have confirmation that Noisy Boy and Atom are next. I hope they do Noisy Boy first as I plan to buy all Real Steel mechs EXCEPT Atom. Would be kind of lame to have to skip out on the next release. Generally speaking, Noisy Boy seems to be the most wanted design so they should try to do him as soon as possible to keep interest in the line.

EDIT: I am hoping that what ThreeA does is keep a consistent and steady release of these for the next year or two. Midas dropped the month Ambush shipped so assuming Midas will ship in December, I hope Noisy Boy goes up then and then Atom in March or April.

Yeah, Atom is the least appealing to me. Still a bit surprised there's been no mention of Zeus
