They posted the older shipping schedule one morning and maintained that shipping times were still as expected - by the afternoon of the same day they were telling people "late January"

Despite the delays, I would say ThreeZero is the best option for any company holding an official license. HT wouldn't give it the time of day because the sales wouldn't be strong enough. With SSC, the product would be sub-par, and they aren't at the point where we're going to see them going deep into lines like they did in the mid-2000s. StarAce would probably be about on par with what we're seeing here. Even if someone focused on multiple, unlicensed figures, they probably wouldn't come out at as good a pace as ThreeZero is doing. We've already got two figures out, and two more on order. That's not bad for a license like this.

I wouldn't have such a big problem with it if they would either tell us why it's delayed, or just stop giving dates they think won't be met.

Welcome to Threezero, where deadlines are made up and release schedules don't matter.

I'd say hopefully, except it's already not true because we have two characters that are post season 1.
I don't mean just characters that survive season 1. Next will probably be Daenarys with ex baby dragons, then they'll waste another year making Khal Drogo.

Who knows how many years it'll be until they're able to make the Hound.

not sure they are gonna continue the ex route seems that has stopped on all releases via them.

I agree.

A lot of people complain about blizzard not giving a date until they are certain of the date release of their games. They initially say that they will release it "when it's ready". They probably end up not keeping their initial schedule, with the difference that we don't even know about it.

The problem here, IMO, is that the companies want the pre order money, or maybe even need it (which is a terrible move, administrative speaking).

Of course, both industries work on different rules and standards. If the other companies are keeping their schedules (or have a lower delay rate), that means that ThreeZero needs better management (which I do believe might be the case, given their apparent inconsistency in their product's quality).

All I'm saying here is based on what I observed on this forum, I don't own any of their figures yet, cause all figures I wanted ended up disappointing when released (as I saw in the reviews and pictures), the same happens, at least to me, with hot toys Releases as well, but on a lower rate and usually on something I personally disliked, rarely on quality problems with the figure (that usually comes later, with hot toys).

Well, that's the advantage of living in a country were most of the time, due to taxes and shipping, the preorder ends up being more expensive than waiting for the release, I never buy anything before released (ok, not a good advantage, but hey, trying to look at the bright side here :lol).

I'm considering buying Tyrion as my first ThreeZero, as it seems it is an excellent figure. Really hope that this John snow ends up being the same.

You should explain what you mean because while I can't speak for anyone else, I have literally no clue what your point is WRT your original comment - the above doesn't help.

Next will probably be Daenarys with ex baby dragons, then they'll waste another year making Khal Drogo.

Making figures is now a waste of time?

Who knows how many years it'll be until they're able to make the Hound.

No one knows. Do you know when Hot Toys will release Drax? Do you know when they'll make the next Johnny Depp figure? When will someone make the cast of Welcome Back Kotter? How about when GRRM will release his next book? It won't be in March.

Again, no idea what you're trying to get at. Are you somehow trying to insult Threezero?

BTW, the Hound was in season 1. Both Jon and Tyrion are not season 1 depictions of the characters.

I want great figures, not a large number of figures and I'm as eager as the next guy to get something delivered I've been waiting on for a long time. If it's not shipping yet I'm sure there's a reason and I've got too many of my own issues to worry about that I don't need to know, nor do I care, why Threezero hasn't already delivered.

The best two figures I've seen from Threezero are probably Tyrion and Walter White. I'm not a Breaking Bad fan, and have no interest in owning Tyrion. Jon Snow will be my first from them, hoping he doesn't disappoint. Their Mass Effect figs look pretty bad, and Ned was average looking.

Not sure I would agree they are the "best" option. I think ACI could produce a better product...
I guess I am just disappointed that they keep delaying the figures and then the figures still come out with obvious flaws like Tyrion's hands or Ned's head sculpt. I don't mind the wait if we're gonna get something on par with say Storm Collectibles, who might've done a better job with this license too.

I guess for the price point though, we're getting pretty good figures but I would still like to see them maybe hit one figure per quarter. 4 a year is a pretty good pace. Their current pace is pretty slow.

I'm really not bothered by the delay, especially since I'm sure it's only to make the product better.

Jon looked the same at the recent toy exhibit thing, so I'm not sure if it's been improved or not. We've not seen Ghost since the proto... That might be the only thing that will be changed.

Yeah, this same discussion went back and forth about Tyrion's hands. Some thought they looked better, some said they looked the same. The hands looked just as wooden and phoned in as the prototype...they did improve the sculpt though. But they didn't fix Ned's sculpt. It appears that Jon's boots are still as large as ever and the sculpt doesn't appear to be tweaked at all. We'll see what happens to Ghost.

i think its a mistake to think the product is being improved on when it is delayed like this. if they are improving it you can be damn sure they will boast about that, say whats being improved and why its takin extra time. no way they would do that w/o saying so. its jut late cuz they have this issue where they have no idea whats goin on at factory. trust me as a long time 3A customer thats the case, not one of a improving product.

when they updated paint on ned they told/showed us same with ghost size. have no doubt what we saw at show is what we gettin. big boots an all.
