Yeah I don't know what it is but something does seem inherently off to hat Rory McCann actually looks like. Nose a bit too big? Cheek lines? Lips? It's something but oh well, I think the figure will still look good on a shelf even if not right in front. I'm hoping that it could be a combination of the lighting and hairstyling in those photos that is throwing it off and just maybe once it's in hand it will be ready to eat some fooken chickens

EDIT: I think it is the paint. The lip color is off and the hounded look like he has been getting a sweet tan in Essos. The scar also doesn't stick out very much.

I agree, it might actually be the harsh lighting and poorly posed hair that make it look off and cheap.

Yeah, I think it's the lighting and the paint. I think the sculpt looks really good. 3Z's paint work is hit or miss sometimes. The paint here looks a little flat and toy-like, which is a bit of a step back from Jamie, which was solid. (Hopefully they do a better job on Danny, because her proto looked amazing.) I'm hoping it looks better in hand under better lighting.

As for the scar, it's kind of tricky. The look of the actual prosthetic changes over the course of the show. Which I never noticed until I spent a huge portion of my July 4th long weekend watching the marathon! In the early seasons it looks a lot "fresher" with lots of reds and purples in the nooks and crannies of the makeup. But in later seasons, it looks more like an old scar (which it should, since he was burned as a kid) so it has a faded look without as much color.

To be honest, I'm not sure which look I would prefer on the figure.

Horrible company as we all know... was anyone expecting anything different?

I just hate to think about how bad dany will be messed up because I fully admit despite my disdain for this company, that they totally killed it on that prototype. She's beautiful.

Anyways this head sculpt looks like that Chris O'dowd guy

Personally, I'm still really happy with how this turned out and it's still easily the best figure in the line to date. I can't wait to have him on my shelf! The thing is, that these figures literally cost me half what I pay for a hot toys one in Ireland so I don't expect the same quality. You get what you pay for and for €150 I've been well pleased with all my GOT figures so far (except Jon obviously).

Very disapointed with this one. Depending on how Daenerys turns out I might just let go of my whole collection of exclusives.

Looks like the prototype with not as good paint. It's not that big of a drop in quality as some seem to think. The paint is pretty rudementary - a repaint would do for those that are inclined. And the hair is....rooted hair. Not sure what people were expecting there. With some futzing and dirtying up it'll work. Looking forward to getting him. I'm happy it's in sight.
