I get it. It does take an effort to keep everyone straight. I had Bron confused with the Night's Watch guy who got Arya out of Kings Landing for a looooong time.

It's funny because not being able to visually separate and identify the characters on the show (still way too many damn characters in GOT) is one of my main critiques. How many middle aged receding hairline British dudes can you cast? It's like... Why did Stannis show up and help kill lady stark and Robb? Then you read the GOT geeks on the net going crazy over someone called Bolton. And I'm like, who the F is Bolton!? (Because the show also does a **** job of setting up characters)

Lord Bolton was there since season 1. No offense, but it sounds like you're not paying any attention. The whole time Bolton was suggesting to Robb to do this or that all of which are ignored. The show does a fine job in setting up characters. Its not like Bolton popped up in Season 3 episode 9 stabbed Robb and left. :lol Regardless, the whole Bolton thing was supposed to come off as surprising and shocking, where evidently it did. I dont know where you're getting Stannis from. :lol

Overall, this isnt a hard story to follow at all. Even in the books. But they're not going to spoon feed you every step of the way either. Sure it has a lot of side characters but you dont have to worry about that in the show. :dunno

I have only read the first 3 novels, so season 4 will be a complete mystery to me. I have found myself checking out GoT Wikipedia to remind myself of what happened in the books v's the show. I remember watching season 4 of the show thinking "I dont remember any of this Theon stuff happening in the book." Of course it was vaguely mentioned in the book, but quite heavily focussed on in the series.
I haven't minded many of the changes they've made, like who Robb married. I don't think it's wise to keep it exactly like the novels, we don't need an exact adaptation.

Compared to TWD, which has deviated quite a lot from the comics, GoT has kept pretty close to the books.

Nope, Bolton appeared first in S2 just like The Mannis. At first I also confused the characters too when I watched the show casually but not for so long to think that Stannis was at the red wedding :lol

Spoiler talk is funny. . . I started watching the show simply because of all the press the show got for killing its main character at the end.

If you don't want spoilers, stay off the Internet. It's just the way the world works now.

Ah. You're right. He was mostly in all the travelling between battles/after and before battle scenes.

I personally dont think they look alike.

Most of the characters become easier to follow if you read the books. If not all, at least the first. The show does a good job with them but some can get lost in the sauce. Perhaps multiple viewings would help but the books are the best reference. They really explain the characters motivations better so you get a real sense of who they are. Unlike the show where you get them in 5-7 minute scenes.

I see you there Ned...he's moving closer to the front of the display lol
At Toy Soul they had him hidden in the back.

I want to see a close up of him from the front! Looks like he's got nice weathering on the bottom of his cloak.

Really looking forward to Ned. Tyrion is my favorite character, but Ned looks to be a more fun figure. Wish I could get a better look. And yeah, that collar look crazy. Could be futzing.

Tyrion was easy to accept since we had close up prototypes of him from day one, going through a few changes until release.

As for Ned, its everyones guess, we didnt get anymore close up shots after the preorder. This is going to be the Lucky dip option in the line. My inner thoughts are low for this one, I cant see there any big improvements from the last I saw up close at the Toy Souls event in HK.

Unless theres a big improvement, dont get your hopes set high for this one. haha
