Pixel is mainly going by what he knows from the show not the books.

The important part is the 1/6th hobby, not the show nor the books. The hobby just won't sustain multiple dozen GoT figures. Not to mention it's unlikely ThreeZero or any other company could produce more than half a dozen of these figures per year. Having fun picking your wants and favorites is all good, just don't be disappointed when reality sets in. Just saying.

You don't know how many characters they'll make any more than I do. 100 figures? That's a giant stretch from the couple dozen that could be possible in the long run. If sales of the figures go well and the books/show continue to be insanely popular then who knows? Realistically, 3 runs of 6-8 characters each isn't that hard to imagine for a license like this. If the marketing was there (like selling them on HBO's site) people that weren't previously into 1/6 scale and didn't know these existed might get interested in the figures. With all the knick-knack crap that gets made and sells for smaller licenses I find it hard to believe that these figures can't make enough money to continue the line.

Its one thing selling shirts for $30 or whatever and selling a doll at $160. Yeah, selling on HBO would help but I wouldn't expect it to generate so much more interest to develop massive quantities of figures. Anyway, its really hard to tell how far, and what characters they'll do. Im thinking they'll go by 1) popularity 2) to a lesser extent aesthetic design.

I personally have never owned a 1/6 figure, I have a few NECA Aliens and some Funko Pop! Game of Thrones guys, but never anything this size or price range. My love for the show got me interested in this line, hopefully that'll happen with more people as well.

As much as I love the show, I'd be really surprised if we get to the more secondary figures... the hobby just doesn't support it no matter the price point. Look what happened to Palisades when they followed their love for all things Muppet.

With regards to secondary character production, Star Wars seems to be the only exception. Even the mighty Hot Toys is having a hard time unloading their 12" Chitauri soldiers... they stretched that Avengers line just a bit too far.

So far Threezero's choices have been spot on... except for the White Walker that is. It's going to see how this line develops.

If you are looking for depth of character production, I'd wager the 6" Funko Legacy GoT line will cover WAY more ground and get to all of your character needs.

Im not partial to any of her dresses really. Which ever one they can execute the best in 1/6 is fine by me. I wouldn't be wholly surprised if it was the Dothraki look to go with Khal Drogo.

Looks like Amazon dropped that "This item will be released Oct. 22" crap. Now it says: Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Your account will only be charged when we ship the item. :lol

Go back to the site again, check order history and you should see a "Pay" button. Click on that and do everything in PayPal over again. Yeah, frustrating.

It's complicated. My Titanfall was cancelled because I guess I ordered but never paid.

That sucks. They definitely need to get the kinks worked out on their site--or at least let everyone know that you have to order it then go back into your account and pay. I had to do that for both Tyrion and Ned and only relaxed when I finally got confirmation from Paypal that the payments had processed.

I'd prefer Dany in the #1 outfit. It's a cool design and a great color that nobody else really wears on the show. It would really pop on the shelf, I think. But I bet they put her in one of her Season 1 outfits to pair her with Drogo. Including multiple outfits would be a great solution, but I doubt they'd do that. I don't know why, but companies generally seem kind of reluctant to do that. We've seen it a few times, but not often enough. It's unfortunate.

But I'll cross my fingers anyhow.

No kidding. I can't remember how many times I had to click for my Tyrion order, but the one for Ned definitely confirmed the order was good on the spot - BUT (and this is important), no email confirmation. So after verifying the payment in fact was not processed via PayPal's history, back to the site to click pay one more time. Same on-site response, but this time confirmation emails came through and payment shows up as completed in PayPal history.

I'm sure the issue is going to bite more people in the future.

The Tyrion at amazon is now showing temporarily out of stock - did anyone get this? It had been saying it would be available today.

I agree about #1, I think its her most iconic otufit too.

I'm definitely in the blue camp. But if they are going to do Drogo, it would be cool to have her in 7 to pair with him. Since these are aimed at 1:6 collectors, it's unlikely they would include a changeable outfit with her. I think too many collectors are afraid of the "doll" stigma and having to change outfits on your princess figure might be cutting too close to the bone.
