Haven't seen the movie, but this looks badass! This would be cool looking even without being attached to the Robocop franchise.

It's about time that 3A is getting away from their artistic style and branching off into more interesting properties.

And fixed.

oh wow. those are great. yep im sold. i will be buying the silver robo and ed whent hey finally come out. cool to see it with size reference to others. i think once its raised up itll have that bigger look.

yeah now seeing it next to the 1/6 figs it does look undersized if it really is supposed to be 1/6. maybe it is the legs that aren't fully raised up that makes it look smaller then it should be?

even if the legs were raised up, it would be too small. robocop could run through the legs and his head was "kneehigh".

it looks about the same size as the old ED-209. not a bad size, but not 1/6.

it definitly looks good though

I think it looks awesome.

I've never purchased from threeA before. How much do you guys think this guy would retail for?

Do you think it'll be in the 500-600 buck range.

I seen a screener of the movie the other day and while its good its no original. The new ED209 is just a generic droid basically it doesn't have presence like the old ED. Im still looking forward to owning something in the form of that new ED design. Im not thrilled about the design of the new Robocop so no worries there, but it is cool that at least 3A got the license.

Saw the movie.
Liked how the eds were not glamourized, just mechs being there.
They do look cool tho.
Now i really love the silver suit.
I really hope 3zero get it right.

What he said, the movie is GOOD! For the doubters you really need to go watch it. Always did prefer the Silver finish, after the movie cannot wait to order this little bad boy.

The movie was ok. It was missing most of the things that made the original stand out: the satire, dark humor, hyper-violence, and tighter pacing. The new one is truly a different movie. On it's own, I thought it was a little too drawn out.
The Novak parts were too long and unecessary IMO
.

The satire, dark humor is still there especially with the Novak element.
Now you gotta know that what makes the original robocop what it is is because of two factors:
Verhoeven, who always has a specific take on violence, sex and such. Very crude and raw.
Ed Neumaier, whose writing has a very dark humor, violent too.
Thank god they did not try to mimick those it would have been so lame.
The movie has José Padhila's themes and style all over it wich is awesome when you know his previous movies.
But alas it has the studio execs notes too and that where the movie fails, all the action cop and robber **** s interresting.
Nonetheless still a good effort in my book.

The Novak bits were not funny and way too long. Irony is not satire.

Anyway, it's Off-Topic to the figure at hand which I actually like alot.

I like the newer design compared to the old and I think threeZero will do it justice.

I actually liked the movie as well although I agree not as much as the original. However I liked the movie enough that I would get these figures. They do look cool regardless of what you think of the film itself. I am confused though. With three zero making these, does that mean Hot Toys aren't?

Well probably not.

Oh well...As long as these are done well. .then it doesn't matter which company made them. I'm surprised though that HT didn't jump all over this. They have a love affair with making men in Iron suits. :lol

Well you never know but they did not show any coming soon poster so i guess its 3zero all the way.
The protos for both suits are very rough i hope they Will refine the détails and paint apps, the weathering for the silver suit is wrong for exemple since its all new no paint chips or dirt is needed.

Agreed... I like weathering but in this case the cleaner looks are more appropriate. Even though he did have battle damage on the black suit at one point I like the way it looks new and glossy.

How is the paint wrong on the silver suit? Every time you see it in the movie it's nothing but clean. It never gets damaged in the movie so I'm not sure where you get that this needs to have paint chips and dirt. The black suit also never gets that dirty, it's always clean, much like the suit in the original film.

Anyways I much prefer the aesthetic of this films design of it's robocop and would gladly purchase the silver suit if I had the money. And the ED-209 is based on the concept design, if you look it up, the concept had the extensions in the back of it's knees. We'll see if they do the black version without the extensions.

these look horrible up close. dissapointed. hope the quality doesnt affect other lines such as the walking dead and game of thrones.

I think you misread what he wrote. He was saying that the suit should be clean and not with paint chips or dirt.
