Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

And now they have the Breaking Bad license. Which is great that somebody is putting out official BB figures. I just see this either further setting back TWD figures or getting stuck in the rut as TWD. And they'll probably put Walt Jr. up for PO before anyone else.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

Well we've already seen the Walt sculpt in the announcement, so they must have been working on that for awhile as well. Is BB time sensitive as well or is it going to be an open license like TWD where there is no hurry?

I'm guessing now that ThreeZero has the BB license TWD line is going to suffer even more.
I see them cranking out at least the 2 main characters,I don't know them, never watched the show.
Oh well,at least we have the pets...

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

I look at it this way: ThreeZero is getting tighter with AMC. Hopefully that will lead to a Mad Men license. :yess:

I wonder how well BB will sell for them. What with the show already finished and a lot of 1/6 fans already having gone the custom route. Does the license include Better Call Saul, I wonder, since it's part of the same universe?

A lot of collectors made custom Walking Dead figures, too, but that show has a lot more options so it may not impact sales as directly.

I could possibly be persuaded to grab a pair of BB figures, but I'm not sure one of them would be the Heisenberg variation. I'd probably prefer something a little more lab-oriented for Walt, even if the whole drug-cooking is a little taboo as a "toy" subject matter. But I'd sooner have a Don and Roger pair from Mad Men.

It will be fascinating to see where lines get drawn based on what's considered taboo. I mean, it's a show about a guy who makes and sells drugs. :lol Not exactly kid-friendly from the get-go. But that said, you're probably right. I can totally see them shying away from that version of the character.

Also, as bloody and violent (and really R-rated) as Walking Dead is, I guarantee if they ever get around to making a Carl figure, they won't include a gun as an accessory, despite how often we see him use it on the show.

Speaking of other licenses, anybody know if there is a licensed 1/6 dexter in the works?

These aren't being sold at Toys R Us.

That doesn't mean AMC isn't stupid. I mean they are OK with Carl using the gun on the show but hasn't allowed his figures thus far to come with one. The comic book Carls have guns and so did Clementine. Its only AMC preventing Carl from having a gun. I doubt they see these as any different.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

A retail site called manofactionfigures has pre-orders for Daryl, Merle and a Well Zombie 1/6 scale for $224.99 each, available first quarter of 2015.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

Great reveal for Breaking Bad fans this morning, only took them 5 days to get a main character...

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

They are just placeholders, nothing has been OFFICIALLY announced by threezero so no need to panic. If you like me and collect both series, then Im in no rush whichever comes out first. Its a long game, so come when they are ready. I dont have too many bullets to throw at once, so spread them out nicely for me:p

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

They shouldn't be more than $160 if GoT and BB are anything to go by.

I like the look of the Heisenberg figure, so I think these figures will lool great.

Well in 2020, when they're finally released lol.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

I'd like to hear ThreeZero explain why they sculpt hands to look like they're made of wood. I thought Tyrion was just a first time fluke but Heisenberg's seem to suffer the same "angularities."
