Re: ThreeZero Toys: AMC's The Walking Dead

Gimbat i have asked before mate but do you know if Diamond only have US distribution rights? I just want to know if i will be able to stock these in my shop in England?

Re: ThreeZero Toys: AMC's The Walking Dead

Love the comic, like the show: so I'm down for getting all the characters they produce. And I hope a panel truck full of zombies too. I mean what's The Walking Dead without the walking dead?

Re: ThreeZero Toys: AMC's The Walking Dead

im totally getting michonne and her pets. i want all of them but the only other ones i would get would be Shane and Andrea. And...well...Carol...DUH LMFAO. but thats about it.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: AMC's The Walking Dead

Rick ( NOT season 1 sheriff version please)
Daryl season 2 or 3
Governor - I'd really like two heads as well. Gauze with wrap and eye patch
Michonne
Merle

Those are the must haves.

Optional/Maybe

I actually really like Hershel in the show. More so than the comics.

I really liked Tyreese in the comics but he hasn't impressed me in the show. Hopefully they'll do more with him in S4. If so, I'd be down for one.

Carl
Glenn
Shane

Maybe a zombie or two.

And I'm keeping an eye on this thread, your opinion and questions matters!

And we really appreciate that! I always feel things turn out SO much better when companies listen to their fans! I just wanted to make sure you saw this suggestion I posted earlier:

One thing I'd really like to see them add to these figures is 'kill effects' much like what World box is doing with their Mortal Kombat figures.

I think it would be great to give Michonne a full sword, then then a sword that can be used like Sub-Zero's ice sword where it can be detached at different lengths and used with the blood slice effect. McFarlane recently made a statue that used similar blood effects on the zombie Michonne was chopping through.

I know it may seem a bit toyish to some, but I think if done well enough things like the stabbing effect or an alternate shot head could really add some pop to a dramatic Walking Dead display on the shelf.

Alternative zombie headsculpts with bullet holes anyone? Maybe some blood splatter coming out from the back of the head. Would make a cool display having Rick posed infront of the Zombie aiming his magnum at it as if he just shot it.

Or this:

Removable head with blood splatter accessory that you attach to the body?

:lol

The possibilities are endless!

As you can see, I think that would really add some flair to these figures if something like the above could be added possibly to later figures if its too late for the currently planned ones or even as an accessory pack!

Love this idea! There's a couple of anime figs that I thinking of getting just for some cool machine gun muzzle fire lol.

Please make a zombie head that Rick can be posed shooting lol

Re: ThreeZero Toys: AMC's The Walking Dead

There's a bit of douchery going on here, with everybody continually bringing up the custom stuff and not wanting duplicates of those made. Guess what people? Like it or not, those are illegal. If ThreeZero wants to make the same characters in the same outfits, they will make them. They have the license and the legal right to do so. In that vein, might as well pretend that the custom pieces don't exist. Bringing them up continually, only makes you look like an uneducated, self-serving ***.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: AMC's The Walking Dead

No No No No gimmicks look what happened with Mcfarlane figures when they first started. NECA tried the spurting blood feature on there Kill bill figures and it never realy worked.

All we need is affordable 1/6 figures with realistic sculpts and il be happy and i'm sure every one else too.

And besides in the big scheme of things there are only a few who have those expensive customs. There's a large group who don't have any 1/6 WD figures. Me being one.

Oh, and please none of that "chopping head off, blood spurting action." Are you guys serious with that ****? :lol

Effects like that are just too cheesy.

I totally agree with that. Don't waste time and money including non essential stuff like blood add-ons and severed limbs. That will just raise the price and really for what.. something I forse a lot of collectors leaving in the box/parting out. Just pick them up from the MK figures, there will be more of them that will surely include more of the same.

Please just worry about releasing characters with appropriate screen used items. Get the sculpts right, make sure the tailoring is good, research the outfits/accessories before putting them into production and every figure in this line will be a success for 3Zero. Carl would be a good choice IMO, not only would he sell because of his popularity on the show but the 1/6th hobby needs a teen body badly. I could see people buying multiples just for the body alone.

Did gimbat say the buttons on Merle would be fixed? Would be a shame if all their releases suffered the giant button syndrome.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: AMC's The Walking Dead

Agree about the kill moves idea. It's not a bad idea for something like Mortal Combat because realism takes a back seat since its based on a video game. I just don't see it working for TWD, espicially at this price point.

Thank you for the input!

I personally fully agree on how blood effects might look cheesy and go different ways with what AMC and majority of fan-base wants to see.

In the end it all should come down to as accurate transition of AMC characters, as possible.

Buttons - that's what Kim told me, in September I'll bug him if there are any new progress shots and etc.
