The Playmates has more of a first volume early issues feel but these new sideshow ones have a more modern feel. I love the Playmates ones but the sideshow ones are double the quality and double the price (at least original prices)

Got my Donny on Thursday, Exclusive #15/425. Love the sculpt, a bit top heavy though. He looks good next to my set of 4 Playmates statues. =)

sadly, i gotta agree with both of these statements. the playmates statues are great and all but i don't feel they match the quality and style of sideshow's.
Yeah but remember the Playmates ones are based almost exactly like the trtles original appearance in the comic. While the Sideshow ones are based off the comic but have a more modern look to them. All about what your looking for in a statue. I like both, for different reasons.

Just finished repainting my mask. The eyes were a real Bi@%#. I dry-brushed on a lighter shade to pick up the highlights, but unfortunately the overall color came out a bit to bright. Will just have to do unless EX's ever show up for cheaper.

Picked up the regular version. It's ES is 400, both on the box and the statue base: 13/400. I thought the regulars were 600?
At any rate, it's a great-looking piece. The whole piece just has a raw, gritty feel to it. I'm very happy with it.
