Using the GSP should make life easy but it is actually pretty risky it would seem.

Did one of my Leo's have a stroke? And I just know NECA won't replace it if I call to complain. Jesus....I thought I had a great set just because I didn't have googly eye ones. Out of my thousand plus action figures, I've never gotten a warped face (Salvador Dali inspired) figure.
thank you for the closeup photos. i'm so happy i cancelled my purchase. quality just isn't worth of what ebay dealers want for these thing ($350 & up).
i wanted to put them with Playmates Rocksteady and Bebop, but this just looks levels lower than Playmates quality, and i'm not talking about a defective Leo.

Ha, no problem. They bum rushed the sh it out of these! There was such great potential with the molds, but they let the short bus factory workers handle these guys. However, the villians don't have issues like the turtles..so it's not a complete loss. If I were you, I'd get the SH figurarts set & the villains out of these to go with your Rocksteady & Bebop. Just curious what did you mean by "and i'm not talking about a defective Leo"?
- But yeah, the Playmates classics were bad, but not this level of bad.
i meant that it was not even a defective Leo in your photos that made me finally realise this is not a quality i need. it was a normal Leo.
i thought about that, but just Shredder and two foot soldiers are not enough for $200-250 people want for them... and SHFiguarts turtles faces look completely ******** to my taste.
but i heard that Figuarts might make their own Shredder, he'll be good.

Gotcha. lol - yeah, even the good examples leave much to be desired. Well, you can find Shredder for as low as $40 (including shipping) on eBay right now. Krang & a Foot Soldier are around the same price. Since that Figuarts Shredder was shown off quite some time ago (and not shown off again at Comicon); there's a good chance it might not be released. I'm just saying $40/50 a piece for figures that may never be done again is a good deal. And like I was saying, the QC on those are very good indeed.

Take comfort at least in knowing that there are issues across the board with the 4 turtles. So any issues yours may have, there's going to be others out there that have it even worse.

Out of my two sets only one Donatello had any derp going on and it was very minor and easily fixed.

ALL of my Turtles have ****ed up eyes. The pupils aren't even small! How the hell did they **** up the paint on these? I've seen Neca figures with the tiny pupils painted on perfectly. Did they get blind kids to paint this ****?
You would think that with this being a limited pricey set they would maybe up the QC, but I guess not.
Has anyone tried contacting Neca's twitter about replacement heads? If so, what's been the response?

All of mine have perfect paint apps. The only trouble I'm having is rotating Shredder's legs, rotating one of the foot soldiers' legs, and bending one of Raph's knee joints. I'm pretty sure all those joints are just too stiff to loosen as I did all the other tight joints. Should I soak these guys in warm water? What methods do my fellow freaks recommend?

Anyone know the best way to get ahold of NECA? I emailed last week but haven't heard back. Figure they're busy with SDCC but my set got smashed in the mail, and I'm a little anxious to get it sorted out.

Absolutely not! lol - anyone that tells you otherwise are oblivious to detailing or aren't super OCD. I've noticed that with several reviewers on YouTube, you can see a lot of issues that they aren't noticing. It's not simply a case of badly painted pupils, but there's lines in the plastic, sloppy/excess gloss applied, clumps/chunks in the plastic, glue residue, etc. There's a ton of stuff going on with them, mainly with the heads - but your average collector isn't cursed like myself to notice or be bothered at all with these other non-pupil issues. I would give anything to not be so damn picky - it sucks noticing every little detail. ..Best to just display & look at them in dim light.
