It's a weird wave, and I've already seen some confusion from people about how this is Guerilla Gorilla and not Sgt. Bananas. It's not really a wave for ME, but that Triceraton is tempting. Had a lot of nostalgia for the original figure.

Hardly. They're just being weird and doing what they want.

There are characters like Rat King, General Traag, Panda Kahn, and a LOT more from the '89-91 waves they jumped over that are in high demand.
