Looks terrible to me. :dunno

Animation is ok, but now everything has to look like Spider-Verse. This style is gonna get old fast.

The voices to me are cringe.. And of course the usual swaps. Sooo original and daring.

I know this is made for the masses, but since I was a fan of the original Turtles, even owning a mint 1st print of the first issue (yes, one of the only 3,000 printed but I sold it in 1990 ), I would love for just once they do a serious dark take on the turtles like how they were originally conceived. And not always the light hearted kid friendly version that they became...
We mostly got that 30 years ago in the 90s movie, which storywise pulled straight from those darker comics.

Not feeling the new movie, like at all. They just continue to dumb these guys down further and further
to get more toddlers on board. I get that this is exactly the point (to sell toys) but I'd much rather see
a new movie based on the 2002 version or something grittier based off the OG comic.

It's kind of funny that the toy licenses are catering to the adult fans but the media itself keeps tanking younger.

Sure I'm in the minority, but this version (much like the Bay-Verse and Rise Of TMNT) will be another hard pass for me.

How are the 1:4 NECA 1990 figs holding up? Things like joints and overall longevity. Any common issues? Entertainment Earth has all 4 up for pre-order for what seem like more waves throughout this year, and I'm thinking I might just finally cave.

what's up with neca looks like they in a rush to release everything they can before their license expires? but can anyone play catch up?

I’ve had all of them minus Mikey, since 2021and they’re fine! I haven’t even started using stands for them yet.

The only thing I wanted from this event was the only thing I was not able to get...oh well, time to be patient

saw these pizza gachapons think they are in scale woth neca toon turtles.

Hey guys, can someone with more knowledge on this give me some advice?

I want to get the DreamEX turtles, I did a little research and I saw they lost their license so there's 2?* brothers that are harder to get or something like that, now the question is, which ones I saw comments saying Raph is the rarest but I saw he was re-issued? Leo was first release so I guess Don and Mikey are the ones that are rare? I just saw Don sell for just 230$ 2 weeks ago or something like that so I'm ever more confused now.

Which ones are the rare ones? Which ones should I know I need to spend more to get? I have Raphael as of now.

Sorry if it's a dumb question but I got confused so I thought asking wouldn't hurt, already ran into 2 scammers trying to get these, didn't think it would be such a headache and to be honest I also find the story interesting of how the lost their license.

Short version: Leo and Ralph are more common, Don and Mikey less common. Casey has less demand so prices are also lower. Shredder has more demand. Krang and April were made after the license was lost and are harder to find.

The figures were Asia-exclusives, and my understanding was Nickelodeon is simply a very fickle company to work with. They make deals with pretty much every figure maker (Playmates, NECA, Hasbro, McFarlane, Super7, BST, Bandai, etc.) but part of that means certain companies either don’t get the license very long, or there are clauses that they can’t compete against other toy makers in the same TMNT field. Nickelodeon may simply have determined that it wasn’t a successful venture and terminated the line early.

I honestly don’t know why they lost the license. The DreamEX figures are probably my current sweet spot too but I missed out during release. I would certainly love them to re-issue them. There’s certainly not enough 1/6 TMNT options out there.

Thank you very much! Glad to know at least what to look for and which I can expect to be more expensive, I really wish we get re-issues as well but guess I'll stick to bst groups.

A real bummer having these for asian markets only... like doesn't make sense how certain licenses allow sales only for certain parts of the world, but oh well, I guess they know better.

And yeah you're right, for me as well their figures are the best out there! Love the design, details and all! Really loving Raphael. Thanks again for the info!

Keep me posted if you see some crop up. My budget is super-tight these days, but I’d at least like Leo on my shelf one day.
