G zeus, they're both toon turtles. Dark ones are meant to look like they did in the tv show (darker color, brown shell, silver belt buckle) Same goes for Bebop/Rocksteady/Shredder..etc.

New brighter ones are still the 80's/90's cartoon turtles but have the color that was used on the merchandise art, hence, lighter colors, green shells, and black belt buckle.

it has always gain interest, but due to rights issue most of them can't release classic turtles to the mass market. most folks are not interested with comic or new turtle figures but many are into classic & movie turtles.

somehow neca managed to break the dimension barrier?

I've had an interest since NECA's arcade set and managed to get the SHF Turtles for a good price, so was good there. Then NECA dropped the 7" movie figures and now the cartoon villains so I'm all in. I hadn't bought anything TMNT related since like 1991 otherwise.

I preordered the Super7 figures a couple days ago and just now got a shipping notice (but no tracking number). I assume this is not a real thing yet.

I opened my Shredder/Leo pack to find that Shredder has two right forearms. The site I got them from don?t have any more in stock so have offered a refund. I?d rather have these figures - If I don?t, I may aswell cancel my other orders.

I?ve tried contacting Neca for a spare part but no answer. I could try and fix it myself by removing the forearm and attaching it the other way around but the way the joint is cut means it will likely look weird. Any ideas, fellow freaks?

How did you contact them? Randy seems active on Twitter, you might try messaging them there if you haven't already.

I used Twitter to @ their official account and also DMd their customer support. I might try Randy again though, I expect it?s easy to miss tags when you get so many!

Break out the hair dryer and heat the part up,pull it apart and fix.(use heat again to put back together)

I?m worried I might break it but worth a try. I wish the forearm rotated at the point where the skin meets the black part - this would be easily fixed!

Another option I suppose is to cut it off at that point and superglue it back on...

Although NECA are more than wiling to sell there product in the UK Randy has said on many occasions that they don't replace parts outside of the US. As a UK collector myself I've come to live with this and try to avoid buying NECA online unless I can see the actual one ill receive. As we all know NECA have an infamously bad track record for quality control.

I see. I?m new to Neca - I have Lich King (perfect) and I recently got the four movie turtles then this twin pack. The movie ones were still boxed but I?ve opened and checked them all after this (they?re all good) but now I?m thinking I might bin off the toon collection and get my money back.

It?s a shame. Growing up, my parents couldn?t afford the proper turtle figures - I had a couple of cheap knock-offs and one proper Mikey from my uncle. I was hoping to rectify that with this line but I don?t really want the hassle of bad QC

I was thinking of getting the Toon Turtles too but there are many different versions of the classic Toon Turtles available but only one based on the movie.
And as bad as NECA quality control can be they really do specialise in movie accurate figures which is why the Movie ones are so good.
If you managed to get a good set of Movie Turtles id stick with them as there are other Movie Turtles Figures coming too so it would be quite expensive to buy both lines and I think the Movie ones are much better! PS. if you do really like Toon Turtles though there are alternate versions of them coming out in a brighter green and in 2 packs of Leonardo/Donatello & Raphael/Michelangelo which are the ones id buy if I did as id only want the 4 Turtles in the Toon line and that would be an easier way.

get a refund and get the toon shreddar/krang and Leo pack. you end up with extra and Leo would look different.

or you can cancel all packs and just focus on the toon packs.

is the arm hard or soft plastic? if soft heating up and pry it apart may work but not sure if the peg head will be an issue i'm sure the joint part is hard plastic.

or you can use a dremel and make a cut at the black area. rotate it and glue it back but you might accidentally damage the armor piece.

you will need a really thin blade to minimize material loss.
