not really sad

And the end of another era. Rest in peace D!ck Clark.

This isn't made in disrespect, but dude was in his 80s. Add me in "not sad". "Sad" is when someone dies before their time. Honor the life, not mourn the death of someone who lived a full life. Pretty important dude to pop culture, pretty cool legacy.

For me, it's somewhere in the middle. Certainly not a "tragic and out of nowhere" death, but definitely sad in an "end of an era" way.

And honestly, I don't know how much involvement Clark himself had with being in the last few NYE shows, or what he may have been coerced into, but in a way I'll be glad to not see him on there.

The last few years have been truly depressing to see the Animatronic Clark up there, a shell of the great presenter he used to be. Which is in no way a knock against the man himself, he just was in no condition to be doing it anymore.

I agree as well. When someone dies I always asks how old were they? If they lived a full life I am only sad for the people that will miss them. It tears me up hearing someone dying young.
