Could it be that this is just a (not so new) way to drum up alittle added publicity to S3, seeing as the tone for this is supposedly darker.

:pow :banghead

IMHO he had every right to. I probably would too if some idiot kept waving his camera in my face after I'd told him to stop. Regardless if the idiot pays my bills or not, that still doesn't give him the right to invade my personal space.

Meh, Letterman's humor is about as dry as the Sahara. All of it is about political BS, anyways. If you want quality humor, watch Leno and Conan, those two are hilarious!:lol

WOW this topic got off topic quickly - Didn't even finish page 1.

I personally think the American Media is horrible - All that Freedom of the press BS. I'm a fan of the French system. The rules regarding Celebrities & Public Figures is you can only photograph them at public events, press conferences and screens etc. Not as they walk down the street, buy coffee or out eating etc. That's why Johnny Depp lives there and George Clooney lives in Italy... They get respect for their privacy. If I was a celebrity that were I'd live, if not in Australia, who's media is becoming a bit American...

So what did happen with Letterman?

Well it's nice to see people are allowed to invade someone's personal space.

Buddy honestly if I was making his money I really wouldn't care. It does come with the job. Many actors have even admitted it. It's a tough world making so much money and have your picture taken all of the time. :monkey3

Celebrities deserve privacy just as much as the next guy. And I'm sure the Letterman thing isn't a publicity stunt - Dave don't play that way. It's got to be more than Tobey just cancelling at the last minute though.

Kirsten is on tomorrow - maybe she'll spill the beans.

Whats going on with letterman?

3 pages still don't know did i miss somethin?

Dave I will give you that. However when they are hitting the hottest clubs or going places to be seen I begg to differ. They have enough money to vacation anywhere in the world. They can have private time there too. But, what do I know. I would love the chance to see it from their point of view though. :D

Tobey is the reason I've lost interest in the Spidey movie franchise. That's nothing to do with his acting abilities; he just isn't what I envisaged Peter Parker to be like. (Plus he sounds like a tosser in real life)

Letterman has some stones talking about anyones elses ego. I don't blame him for not going on the show, as a matter of fact I wish more people would avoid him. His show has turned into a weekly propaganda machine for his political point of view.

Its both their faults, the fan should have not been up in Tobey's face with his camera, AND Tobey shouldn't have reacted that way....

But this is what celebrities have to deal with for being rich and famous.......

Ahhh I see it now,Tobey was all aware of the French system so he smacked that camera out of that guy's hands therefore SAVING him from a lengthy trial, jailtime and possibly a bad experience with "Big Jacque" in the showers that would scar him for life.

Way to go Tobey!!! A real life hero! :rock

What? Did Tobey Maguire actually assault a "real life" Photographer??? I didn't know that... Did he use webbing???

To me it looked like he was doing some press or about to do some press for SM3. And the guy held the camera out to take a pic of both him and Toby together.

i think that was uncalled for.it looks like it was a fan not the paparazzi.i guess its safe to say he's getting tired of the franchise, snubbing dave now attacking fans or maybe he's just trying to drum up some publicity

That's always been his charm. Pissing off Les Moonves, or the GE execs before that or going after Tom Cruise back when everyone else was kissing his ass. Carol Chaning even sued him back in the 80s. I only wish he hadn't been so politically fair & balanced back in 2000 when it could have made a difference.

Thats my point. Personally when I'm watching late night TV, I want entertainment, not listening to Dave's venom toward Bush. And I used to watch him every night for years.

WOOOORRRD! Every moron since 2000 thinks they have some amazing commentary on political issues and won't shut up (right and left) I hate that.

As far as Toby goes, if I made his $$$ I'd let the press film me pee, screw that!

On the Letterman vs Toby issue, I got no clue, sorry. Dudes both need to chill, who the hell are they anyway? If the world blew up right now, and they were survivors, they'd be worthless probably.

He should have hit the photographer with a tub of baked beans, like Hugh Grant did recently (even though it got him arrested).

NOW THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!
