Only 100 of these are gonna be made with a price of $149.

Exclusively made for San Diego Comic-Con (in a VERY limited edition of only 100 pieces!) and available in booth # 5540, Draco Malfoy™ Slytherin™ Seeker from the Warner Bros. Harry Potter™ films, stands 17" tall and features 14-points of articulated movement.

Brought to life by award-winning artist and designer Robert Tonner, and sculpted in the likeness of Tom Felton, Draco Malfoy™ Slytherin™ Seeker is dressed in a custom knit sweater over racing trousers; all under his Slytherin™ house robe. This fully authorized, authentically reproduced costume includes gloves, shin guards shoes, wand, socks and a custom display stand.

Not into Tonner (at least not thus far). But good grief that costuming looks really, REALLY good! No wonder they're so expensive.

Not for me either but I just saw this was added to the items and figured I'd notify those that might be interested.

To be honest, the head sculpt isn't too bad either. I think the Potter line is one of their better lines as far as accuracy goes.

I would still like to get into this line....but I'm holding out to see if they make Snape....

I have the Harry in quidditch robes and the costuming is excellent, aside from the sticker for the house crest. I'll probably be seeking this one out.

I really don't like the Tonner stuff, especially the Superhero males and the addition to Pirates but the Harry Potter stuff really is well done. If the funds are ready I'll get it but I'm not sure how far I'd to go actually seek it. I have the Harry Quidditch (the only one I have) so It'd be a nice companion piece.

Does Tonner normally have a booth at SDCC or do they use another company(ies) as their outlet?

I don't know but I would guess this year they will have their own. They gave a booth number in the description so maybe they're making a first time appearance?

Is he really worth $149 though? He doesn't look like it to me. He is very nice looking, but not $149 to me.

17" and only $149, no really, I am being serious; that is disportionate to the PF figures -- my first thought was that it was actually somewhat cheap.

No, I won't be buying one. :monkey1

The bodies are standard, so they aren't nearly as complex as a PF. Sometimes the clothing equals the value, but not always. I have the Supergirl, but have a hard time paying $100 for Wonder Woman because the costume just doesn't cut it.

This will be the first time Tonner has been at SDCC, but with all the licenses they are now getting it certainly makes sense for them. Pirates, DC, Marvel, HP - and they'll probably announce more at SDCC.

If HP is one of Tonner's more accurate lines I'd hate to see their lesser ones
For $149 that Malfoy is pathetic.

It seems that Tonner doesn't go for an accurate look with faces (that's obvious). A more 'doll like' (though what exactly is 'doll like' eh?) in the face scuplts is the aim. Their bread and butter (so to speak) seems to be with the costuming (with a few exceptions here and there is just fantastic). No, not a line for those who want actor likenesses but if you're a fan of good costume work (and don't mind what face they use) then it's a line that people will like.

Again, they don't have any licenses that I'm interested in but I can see why Tonner has done very well thus far. I understand why people make fun of these figures but really the success of the company (so far) proves that there is a large enough market out there for these figures.
