Toy Square has him listed as 'Crime Cure Boy' backlisted for $235. Been that way all year. Don't know anything about it coming with a straight jacket or eyelid fasteners, as far as I know, what you see in the pic above is what you get. It's one of them Asian licence duckers. It came out years ago, very limited, so very hard to come by now, and no where near as cheap as $235. Gruff Old Bear can fill you in more than I can.

Alright, the Crime Cure Boy looks identical to the CRM Alex. I'm confused, what's the difference? Has the Crime Cure Boy been released yet? Also, is this in the same scale as the medicoms or is it true 12" scale?

We'll probably never see "Full House" figures...

Which is ashamed...how many of us would look forward to the "Jesse & The Rippers" boxset....

I guess my hopes of having a DJ figure are gone:monkey1

My bet for a figure we'll never see is Mel Gibson as the Road Warrior, just because I've begged for one for so long. I also don't think we'll ever see a licensed Blade Runner.

As for little Alex, this photo is the best reference I can offer as to scale. Note that Hellboy is on a base, and I've posed Alex with an arched back:

"Crime Cure Boy" is the release title of this nifty little bootleg -- Kubrick's works won't ever be licensed. I know nothing about any accessories, and eyelid fasteners wouldn't work with this sculpt. I got him from Charles Ayeung (charlesay -- Kidult Garden on eBay Stores) a few years ago...if you're interested, I'd certainly grab him from Toy Square. Mine is presently being upgraded by a certain gifted master painter who has been known to post on this board.

So Gruff, is the Crime Cure Boy by CRM Toys? I'm confused because in Michael Crawford's review of the CRM Alex he says he is going to review the Crime Cure Boy and compare the two but it doesn't look like he ever did. Also Toy Square has him listed as Out of Stock so I don't think they are accepting any orders.

It's the same. I have the second edition with the very weird white box. I can't make out any of the lettering on it except "Storm Over Crime Cure Boy" and "CRM Toys."

Toy Square actually says "Back Order." That's usually bad, but you never know...I know of nowhere else to get him at this late date.

Sorry guys. My MAC was down a few days. I wrote the Crawford review. There are two Alex figures from CRM Toys. The first one released as "Crime Cure" was in a colored box. At first I thought this was the only difference, but then I saw one opened on eBay and there are some major differences in the clothes. They don't fit as nice (i.e. pants are too baggy) and the detail isn't as sharp (i.e. pockets). I also remember the color of fabric was more "off-white". The one I reviewed was a re-release with the white box that came out after the Mr. Torrance figure, but before Taxi Driver. Better clothes, but same head scuplt, and a white box. Great figure overall, less than 100 made.

I'd like Sideshow to make these lines but they probably never will...

Willard (2003)
Lexx
Farscape
Red Dwarf
Dead/Alive

Hey Dave, Fantaziatoys (eBay seller) has been trying to sell the first release figure (color box) for awhile... but I think they were asking $399 and not having any takers. It might be worthwile to contact the seller and see if they still have it and if you could make an offer on it.

Yeah, I believe he at least had a pic of the figure out of the box. Clearly a difference in quality with the outfit. I was actually relieved when I was able to see the difference in the two. And I'm a staunch "1st Version" kinda guy.

:D

I don't really like to say 'never'. I didn't think I would ever get a Barnabas Collins figure and I did, so..... But here are some I would love that are more unlikely:

Supernatural -Dean and Sam Winchester, complete with weapons, the colt, and their father's hunting book.
V for Vendetta - V and Evey. There's a very small chance a V might one day be made, I suppose...but it's only a small chance and I would love both of them.
The Phantom of the Opera - Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum versions, preferably from "The Point of No Return". They would be beautiful, but this doesn't really fit in with what most figure companies do.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen + Sherlock Holmes - Based on the comics, not the films. I included Holmes because he's mentioned in the comics and I want a Holmes.
Fables - The comics. Snow White and Bigby Wolf.
American McGee's Alice & the Cheshire Cat - Would be amazing in premium format or 12 inch (though I would prefer PF because of the larger cat)..... Unlikely, but a girl can dream.
Beetlejuice & Lydia - Just the pair. Movie versions, though I actually love the cartoon much more than the movie.

If I ever see just two licenses from this list get made.....I would be ecstastic.

Of course, my ultimate desire would have to be a Barnabas Collins cinemaquette or 1:1 scale bust. But since Majestic has the license and they don't seem to be doing anything other than 12 inch, that's highly unlikely.
