I am so sorry for asking such a dumb quesiton :slap but I recently got into collecting 1:6 Star Wars figures and I have a a clone captain and a EP2 clone trooper on its way. While looking for another EP2 clone trooper on ebay I was shocked by how much people were selling some of the EP2 clones for it was like $200 bucks. So just in short my question is why exactly are these 1:6 Slideshow figures so expensive besides the fact that they limited edition and are from what I heard made from pretty good materials?

The plain clones? Or the officers?

You're paying for quality. When you compair them to $20 Hasbro figures, you'll see why they are so much more, and better.

Beats me :dunno

I bought a ton of SS Star wars figures on ebay for less then msrp.

The plain clones

I'd guess supply and demand. They hung around for a long while on Sideshow's website before finally selling out. Like a lot of things, people sat around waiting to pick them up and procrastinating, and them BAM! gone. So now they're playing catch-up which can get expensive if you get bent at getting outbid and go for a bidding war on ebaY. I also wouldn't be surprised if the BluRay has sparked a new interest in them. That said, selling is completely different than buying and these guys might just be dangling hooks with ridiculous amounts. What do the completed auctions say?

He's talking about the price hike from MSRP ya newb! :lol

The one that i am starts off at $145 and I just bought the same figure for $50 bucks! I mean really...i guess trying to collect a clone army is going to be harder than i thought

Initially when the Stormtroopers came out, I picked up six. I've since whittled it down to two with all the other troopers Sideshow's released and space dwindling with each arrival. So if you're planning to collect them all, that might be something to consider.

You just gotta look for deals. There are a lot of buy it now options on ebay set at high prices, but you'll probably get better deals when you follow the auctions where they take the highest bidder. They also have the best offer ones where you can send them the price you want to pay and they can either accept or deny your bid. Completed auctions on the plain clones from Episode 2 seem to hover around $80 to $100.

Oh i see thanks for the tips guys much appreciated
and sorry for the double post back there
