I got lucky and was able to get Jungle for retail a few months ago... aside from that I always saw him from $250-300 which I didn't want to pay.

And I agree with you Dave, I know the Spacesuit figures were sold as 1 of a kind items when the line first came out... maybe that means they won't release them? I hope thats not the case, but even so Jungle and T-Rex are great enough on their own and this is still a cool addition to the series.

There's a story on Winson Ma's website... but I don't think its as stratified like POTA. I think T-Rex is a Baboon, and one of the concept figures looks like a chimp. Not to mention a couple of human characters and a Bear.

Damn, so far the regular is listed at Toys2 for $219 and UniToys for $229 :google

I really like the series, but the more casual attire on this one is making me unsure about nearly $60 more. I just don't see the same value for him as the other two... I wonder if the "Tough" jeans collaboration is driving up the cost?

I may wait until he's released and see if I can get a better deal on eBay, I was able to get T-Rex for about $135 shipped that way.

Got him ordered :chew

Still not thrilled with the price, but this is the cheapest I've seen him... and I can always cancel if I need to :rock

From my understanding they are limited to 400 per edition. Looks like Sideshow was able to get 100 of the color version.

Ordered him too. This will be my first odd-world type figure. I do a lot to rock climbing myself and this one hit me in my rock-climbing hobby and seem like a cool addition!

Hmm...that would make more sense for the low quantity indicator. Although I didn't think they were that limited. And usually the number shown by Sideshow is how many they have available.

Ordered mine as well. Big ups to Sideshow for bringing these home to order.

Now if I could only find Jungle for a decent price :banghead

There is a "normal" and "limited" version; the limited version is limited to 400 pieces, but there is no edition size listed for the normal version. Sideshow is carrying the normal version, but I wish they were carrying the limited! I like the black better!!! :monkey2

I've looked at a few sites that are carrying the normal and they seem to all be saying 400 but I could be wrong. With open edition sizes you can never really get an accurate number.

There are only 400 color version units WORLDWIDE.

As far as the black, there are only 400 of those WORLDWIDE as well.

Sideshow only carried 200 color units.

It is tough as hell to resist the Apexplorers and the Firespectre figures. Those things really epitomize the reasons I like to collect the high-end toys. They are imaginative and very well-crafted. Tons of accessories and they would be cool in a series or as stand-alone pieces. I especially like when toy companies apply human characteristics to primates (like the Apexplorers and the "Apethoven" Kubrick). To me that is just about the best way to show the aspect of human duality that combines our intellect and our primal instincts.

Or am I overthinking the whole thing.

Well what the heck???!!! Why have a "limited" one if the edition sizes are the same???!!! That just makes no sense!!! Why, that would be like having a regular edition of a statue with a smaller edition size than the exclusive version!!! :monkey3 :D :rotfl

Where did you find this info at Bagles? Even the HT site doesn't list edition sizes.

And hopefully you can find a Jungle... he's definitely the coolest one they've released so far.

Not sure if you are aware of it, but there was an Apethoven figures as well :rock
