Someone asked about an Aou full case shot. Found one.

Poor logic. Gotg is marvel as well. In fact it's more marvel then deadpool. Deadpool will be the first fox studios marvel ip hot toys figure that's not Hugh Jackman in the 16 years they have had a marvel film. So there's zero history to support expecting a figure from a fox studios marvel film.

So I should lie and say I was surprised when I wasn't? We don't all get obsessed about the politics of Marvel/Fox studios merchandising.

A new Guardians figure would have been a surprise considering Drax is yet to be officially announced and it's been more than a year since the film was released, so they could simply just wait for the second film.

Honestly, sometimes you really nitpick people when there is simply no need.

Out of everything shown, these are the ones I am most interested in and would probably buy

- Deadpool
- BvS Superman
- BvS Batman (most likely just the normal version, maybe others depending on the role they play in the film)
- Winter Soldier

Holding it out for announcements for TFA Rey with a certain accessory, an unmasked Kylo Ren, Civil War Iron Man, Captain America (with the chainmail), Sharon Carter and Wonder Woman

I would pick
Deadpool
New Scarlett Witch.
Maybe the Armored Batman depending on price and how i like the film.
Wonder Woman
Rey/Finn (Watched the film today and they earned a spot on the OT Star Wars shelf)
Cap with Chainmail

I wish HT or even SS would do some 6th scale environments for Marvel films. I'd love to see the Quinjet. We have a Batmobile and Millennium Falcon Cockpit, why not a Quinjet? How about a motorcycle that Cap or Black Widow could ride with a magnet on front for Caps shield? Star Lord's Ship 'The Milano'?

We have The Hall Of Armour and House Party Protocol Armour setups, the Suit Up Gantry, "The Birthing Suite" from IM3. How about the church at the end of AOU where the big battle was with the vibranium key so we could display the team defending it from an onslaught of however many Ultron-bots we buy? I tell ya, that would make me buy cannon-fodder minions for my Avengers to fight! Odin's Throne Room? Bifrost Interior so they could make Heimdall! OOOOOO! OOO! The Frost Creature! That'd be monstrously huge, though so maybe I'm going a little nuts.

I just think there's a bit of an untapped market for 6th scale environments. We have some great Star Wars ones with the Cantina pieces, imagine the possibilities for Marvel! You guys think that's a possibility?

Short version- no.

Long version- I think it'd be neat, but given that most collectors prefer static museum-style poses (with those pesky stands), I don't see how there'd be much interest in diorama pieces for the figures, especially at the prices HT would be charging. And how many people would actually buy a slew of Ultron bots to recreate a final fight display? My guess is that the number's rather low since money spent on Ultron bots is money not spent on some other distinct character (even if it's another Iron Man repaint). The Iron Man Hall of Armor displays seem more reasonable since each pod can hold a different character (in a museum pose). And I've never gotten the impression that the Thor line sells particularly well (TDW had all of 2.5 figures), much less well enough to create a throne room or Bifrost display. Overall, it feels like a small, niche market, but I could well be wrong.

It's actually a market hot toys wants to expand into. But with marvel there's not much in the way of iconic non figures so far. Batman has the cave, the armory/cases, car, plane ect. The quinjet is something that is talked about...but would be huge. The plane would be four feet or more across. That long. Just look at the hold. It had Thor, cap, stark/iron man, banner, hawkeye, BW, and lots of room to walk around. Pretty large diorama piece don't you think? And star lords ship? That's gonna have a 10 foot wingspan and cost 4500 dollars. Easy.

The bike or any of the cars...that also will require additional trademark and licensing. Which means lower margins. For an item that most would only buy if they had that specific figure from the film. Which further shrinks the customer pool. The cost would be higher then an average figure(for a bike) and lots higher for a car...meaning it further shrinks the customer base. That's a lot of risk when you don't need to take it.

Diorama pieces would be cool if they did simple backdrop style pieces. Entire ships and such are too big and definitely a niche market that would probably be out of reach for your average collector. I would love to see backdrop and floor pieces that were about the size of a Detolf shelf. I think that would be something that would be relatively affordable and would be very well received.
