99%? They failed!! Thank god Lasseter is back. :lol

Goddamn underachievers! :cuss

The weird thing is, how can top critics rate these movies - 99 to 100 percent - so much more highly than audiences, who "only" liked it at an 89-percent clip? If anything, shouldn't it be the other way around? What kind of a-hole could dislike Toy Story?

I had no idea the fan approval was 89% :horror It's still great, but yeah, strange that it's not higher. Only 4 critics gave it a negative review, which pisses me off :lol TS2 has an 86% fan approval....which means Frozen (87%) has a higher approval than TS2 ....what is going on? Dumb people.:slap

There are alwys those "cool" people that don't like things simply because many others did. They have to be contrarian to make themselves seem smarter than everybody else.

When placing Toy Story in my top favourite movie list I have to place it as a trilogy. It's just so hard deciding which is the best one, if I had to say one it would have to be 2 because I love the whole toy store and collector story, however 1 is the original and 3 was so just so good on an emotional and more epic scale.

They better have a damn good script if this is really coming, because TS3 was the perfect ending to the trilogy and doesn't need to go beyond that IMO. I didn't even watch Toy Story of Terror:lol
Yeah. One of the best trilogies easy. Ill still see though. I love Toy Story.

I'm surprised the "raping my childhood" cliche hasn't been introduced yet.

I never see that used by people complaining about a remake or sequel. I only see it used by people slagging off those people.

Well, to be fair, if someone were to dust that one off, it'd probably be...oh, I don't know...me. :monkey3

But the Toy Story franchise is about as sure a thing as any in moviedom. And Lasseter's involved, so it should be pretty good, if not great.

Maybe that phrase will get a run once Lasseter re-releases the trilogy with a retro-fitted narrative, tries to remove all trace of the original prints, and the new sequel introduces 'Mattelochrlorians' to explain the toys' life-force.

Every post here about something older than 15 years has someone whining about their childhood. It's kind of a sure bet. ;)

Okay.
I was 8 years old when the first movie was out and 24 years old when 3 came out. It would have to be raping life in general if anything (which it's not). :D
Exceptions exist for every rule. :)

It's coming. Don't you fret none.

The stretch for that pun earns 5 golden internetz. Well played.

Toy Story 4 Will Not Continue Original Trilogy's Story, Will Be A Romantic Comedy

In a recent interview, Pixar President Jim Morris revealed that the studios’ next toy-faring adventure would, at best, only have tertiary ties to the original trilogy starring Buzz Lightyear and Woody.

As Morris stated, Pixar’s current plan for Toy Story 4 is to make a romantic comedy that’s light on the human-to-toy interactions, as well as any direct links to the previous Toy Stories.

“It is not a continuation of the end of the story of Toy Story 3,” Morris told Disney Latino. “The third movie was over in a beautiful way and completed a trilogy.”

Morris further revealed that the fourth installments story would not launch a new story arc or franchise. Instead, he hopes to contain it to a standalone story, for now at least.

What's the point then? :dunno

romance in toy story... RIDICULOUS... Get the hell outta here!
