Just wanted to update that I received most of my stuff from Toyrocket yesterday. A couple of toys missing, asking for a refund on them now.

I"ve got a Storm Shadow on order with them from the 50% sale. It's been on order since 11/20. Should I keep it on order or cancel ?

Seeing what happened above I'd say cancel. I had luck with them and my items arrived fine and sound, but seems things are getting nasty recently...

I hate to cancel it, I mean 60.00 for a storm shadow, but I don't want to get screwed either.

They're owned by PuzzleZoo now. You can go to ToyRocket.com and read about the change.

PuzzleZoo say they have absolutely nothing to do with orders made with ToyRocket prior to the 23rd of this month, that they don't want to even hear from customers who bought before that date. That cracks me up. It seems like a pretty odd way to do business, to take it over and just wipe your hands of whatever came before - a sensible company factors in outstanding orders and things like that... It's just continuing and building on the bad will associated with the ToyRocket name.

Amusingly, when the ToyRocket website was first changed to reflect the PuzzleZoo news they seemed to be suggesting they would be honoring ToyRocket orders. There's a link, still on the site now, that takes you to a questions-and-answers page and on there it says:

"If you have an order backorder or preorder, this order will remain open for fulfillment by Puzzlezoo.com. Unless you choose to cancel the preorder or backorder, Puzzlezoo.com will still honor and fill those orders as they come in as a service to Toyrocket’s loyal customers."

They also note that they still have all ToyRocket customer details for if you want to continue shopping when they return as the all-new PuzzleZoo/ToyRocket...

I guess though they got inundated with more unreceived orders/cancellation requests/etc than they expected or wanted because within a day they added a new note on the front page claiming they 'have no information at all regarding any Toyrocket customers' and asking that people do not contact them about orders.

Forgetting my own troubles with ToyRocket, I don't understand why a company would buy them. What were they buying, also? It seems like they must be buying the ToyRocket name and website. If they were just buying the company for its inventory they would just take that under the PuzzleZoo name, I would think.

So then, if it is the ToyRocket name and website they're buying, with plans of continuing on with it, I must say that that seems quite crazy. It's like taking over a restaurant that went out of business after 200 customers died from poisoning... Anyone searching the ToyRocket name is going to see the hundreds of complaints resulting from this recent crap, plus the bankruptcy, etc. On top of that, hundreds or maybe even thousands of people must've ordered during the sale and came away deciding to never again order from ToyRocket. It's not like ToyRocket.com is Amazon.com or eBay, an established go-to of sorts or some kind of place with a readily established online presence. It's a low level store with a history of bad business practices. I don't know why any company would find it sensible to associate their name with such a business. It seems like buying trouble, pretty much.

This is not a good way to start business. :duh PuzzleZoo got ToyRocket with their good and bad things.
