Wow, it arrived today, a little unexpected which was a nice surprise. The costume is really nice very well tailored, the cape has a nice weight to it and hangs well, I gave it a quick iron out of the box.

The helmet I think will go closer to the face, I put a rubber band round it and dipped it in hot water and saw an improvement.

The body is acceptable but I might replace it at some point the only other improvement I'd like to see would be the hands/gauntlets being two separate pieces otherwise I'm really happy and will now be getting the Dofp Wolverine.

I'll definitely try that helmet trick. It gets so dark early now. I can't take any pics in natural light.

Hot Toys wording on the Deadpool announcement was interesting...

We are very excited to announce Hot Toys will be creating the one and only official 1/6th scale collectible figure of Deadpool based on the upcoming Deadpool Movie.

Could be that this and other unlicensed X-Men figures have demanded their attention and given them the proverbial kick up the keister to profit from the license instead of sitting on it. Hopefully we get official X-Men: Apocalypse figures from Hot Toys

Got this today. Better than I thought it would be. Helmet is quite soft. Don't really think I need to do a body swap right now. I used to think the sculpt was nice, but it's only okay. When a better sculpt is released, it will take this figure to the next level.

Edit: I like the cape, & the outfit overall. I admit, I was feelin' a bit disappointed with my purchase before I actually saw it in person.

Yeah, the sculpt looked better unpainted, had more likeness to Fassbender. Still, in all these new pics he looks pretty good overall. A decent representation of Fassbender Magneto, especially considering this might be the only one that's made.

Can't wait to get mine, should arrive Monday hopefully.

HT need the actors likeness approval and Fassbender didn't give it. End of the line for an official figure under the current contract.

There's a ton of different reasons flying around, but the main one seems to be most actors other than Hugh Jackman didn't give consent for likenesses.

I think during one of those Facebook Q&As, the answer given about X-Men figures was they were trying to acquire likeness rights. Maybe someone else knows for sure.
