I managed to get the flaps on mine more snug, but they're still not tight on his cheeks. Better than before though.

Mine was delivered today and waiting for me when I get home. The Wolverine shelf will no longer be the lonely shelf.

Well not really so much as actual mods but I just heated up the helmet using a hair dryer and tried to draw the "flaps" inwards. Dipped it into some cold water and now they're much closer to his cheeks. I'll see if I can post some new photos of it.

I know you've already done it, but if you sat the helmet in a cup of boiled water for a minute, strain the water, quickly dry the helmet and put that on, you could put a few rubber bands around it and it would be really form fitting. For removal, the hair dryer trick would suffice.

Yes please!
Beast
Colossus
Iceman
Storm
Mystique
Anything else would just be bonus.

So it seems the hair dryer trick was only temporary on mine. Checked the helmet again last night and the flaps opened back up, not nearly as tight anymore.

I've seen someone mention heating it then sticking it in cold water, would that make it stay?

I even wrapped a rubber band around his head the first time, but it only stays tight a matter of hours it seems.

i dont plan on displaying him without the helmet. im going to try a couple things. one easy one is using some sticky tack and press it in between the cheeks and helmet. but i actually might sand down his cheeks and glue the helmet to his face

I've considered just using glue as well, but I don't like irreversibly modding like that. Perhaps I will and just get a parted out sculpt and helmet as a mint spare.

So got this guy today and I know its been said already but the quality on this guy is really darn good. Not quite HT quality but I'd say right there with ACI or Art Figures, which is just a step below HT, but almost half the price of HT LOL!

Anyway, I took a rubber band and triple wrapped it around his head while wearing the helmet and left it like that for about an hour. Its been an hour so far and the helmet is still sitting snug to his cheeks. I'll check it tomorrow and post pics.

For anyone on the fence about this guy...get him you won't regret it!

got mine today, Im really not a fan of the HS at all so i dremelled it down to at least get it looking good with the helmet. The outfit is fantastic on this though! I may be commissioning a new sculpt for this guy down the line as well

yeah i have the did max muller head on the way. i am not a fan of this head either. hopefully i love the did sculpt :wink1: but yeah the figure overall is fantastic. i think even the original head makes the overall helmet shape look to big? misshaped? anyways. im looking forward to playing with it

The DID sculpt is good. This one is good too, but i think it's the hair that is slightly off, due to the helmet having to fit.

Has anyone managed to get the helmet to stay snug? I did the hair dryer trick and it stayed tight for a matter of hours, but the "flaps" opened up again overnight.

I might just put a dab of glue on the cheeks and be done with it.

he looks good there . thanks username! yeah i plan on shaving down the head to fit the helmet just right :)

Thanks.

Do you posess a dremel or similar? The way i would do it is to put the helmet in the fridge to make it more solid, then dremel away the inside of the helmet until it's a bit thinner.
Removing material from the inside will be less noticeable than removing parts of the head, lol.
