For you yes. And fair enough. I never liked them. Even as a kid, way before these movies were ever thought of, I just found the look of them to be pretty uninteresting. it was the way their faces looked. They looked like people. I don't like my bots looking like people.

Ironically enough Bay put a mouth on Optimus Prime... which it never had...

Also, some of the best robots in movie history look like people...

C-3PO's function is to be easily accessible towards humans.

So i'll give you The Iron Giant. But other then that, not a big fan of human like robots. Especially alien robots from space.

WE will likely get some flavor of "galvatron" this time around, likely made by the human scientist from teh wreckage of megatron's corpse.

Bionicles are at least visually cool looking. Unlike a bunch of anime boxes.

it's already been confirmed by the studio that the Transformers themselves are getting a visual redesign.

Why? Becuase people stopped buying the toys of the same movie designs after 3 films. Yes they still sell, but as well as they did the past two times around. New robot designs, means new toys for hasbro to sell.

I'd expect something more along the lines of what the Bots in Prime looked like.

^^^ Let's do it!!! Seriously, after 3 I really don't have a desire to watch anymore of these movies. Maybe when I'm 50 it'll be nice to see the series get a remake/reboot, but until then I'd rather have the cartoons.

It's worth noting that it's only NOT a reboot, becuase bay says it's not, and he's shoe-horning in the history from the first three films.

Essentialy, My take on that is, he feels admitting they are rebooting it is the same as saying he failed at making them.

"yes, it's got all new actors, and an all new story. And the robots look different. But it's not a reboot! I Swear!"
