He looks like a gundam more than a transformer.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

I love the title ya guys gave. :lol

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Makes me sick to my stomach that Optimus has that ****ing crap on him.

I don't understand why the filmmakers think that looks good. Just make him blue, red and bare metal for Pete's f ** k!

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

I just had a chance to finally watch Dark of the Moon. Or atleast the first 1.5 hours of it. I just couldn't get past the overacting, bad humor and ADD editing of it. I almost think it was worse than the Revenge of the Fallen. The first 5 minutes or so on the moon was pretty cool though.

I really don't expect this one to be any different. Not sure why they didn't go with another director. The movie would have made a ton of money no matter who they went with. Too bad with Bay. I really enjoyed Armageddon (despite the cheese), loved The Rock, and enjoyed the first Transformers. Not sure what happened with him. And just from that pic of Prime, he actually looks worse than in the first two.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Should of made it the flat nose from G1. Stupid flames.

They addressed this in the first Transformers movie.

They initially wanted to go with a Flat-nose Prime. However, the Peterbilt is the biggest truck cab on the market and the metrics they did for both the robot and truck modes modeled out that Prime would not be as big and tall as they wanted him to be if he was a flatnose cab. And they wanted Prime to stand out.

Yeah it's silly movie-science, but they wanted a BIG truck and a BIG robot and hence the Peterbilt was their PRIME choice. :lol

You left out a little detail. They went with the bigger truck, becuase Bay felt that mass shifting, z-space, and etc were all far too silly concepts to be in his giant robots that turn into cars movie.

Then he went ahead and used mass shifting anyways with starscream.

The argument I hear for Starscream is that it is compensated for him because he's shorter than his G1 Counterpart and wider. But yeah, with Michael Bay, he's going to say one thing and then do whatever.

I'm not a huge Transformers fan so it doesn't matter to me what the alt forms are as long as they are similar to their traditional counterparts. I'm glad Prime is a truck, Bumblebee is a Yellow car, and that Grimlock will be a T-Rex...

The funny part about that...

...is that Optimus likely is a flatnose truck in this movie before he gets his shiny new body.

Jeez... he really let himself go.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Fits with the whole "The world is scared ****less about big robots", so they went into hiding and this is extremly different to what he´s been looking like before...
