Wow... I like how they tried really hard to add that "intense" music to make this feel more serious. Seems very forced.

The problem is that once the film starts all the seriousness is lost in they goofy humour and bad characters. I'd like them to take a more serious note with the film but there was enough in the trailer to make me think we will be getting more of the same.

Can someone explain why Optimus now looks like a person in a suit of armor as opposed to a giant robot in the new movie? Why are his arms and legs rounded to look more human than mechanical? Michael Bay can just suck it.

yea I don't see anything here to get excited about. I liked the first movie, but the last two pretty much killed what ever enjoyment I could get out of these movies and this one doesn't look like it's going in any better of a direction. oh well, I was hoping the dinobots would get me excited but they look terrible, to bad, so much potential to have made them better.

I'm a Transformers fan, so I will see it regardless, but I'm not that impressed at all.

So Marky Mark accidentally buys a old junker truck that is a Transformer, a group of men in black SUVs comes and tries to take it, then robots come from space and attack a city, sounds like it's already been done. I just hope there is less of what Bay considers "humor" in this.

If they can make toys that can transform and look good in both vehicle and robot modes why the hell can't they translate that to film?

He's modeled after a Samurai in this movie

Interesting look, I just don't like it for optimus prime.

My 1st thought at seeing that picture was of Robert E. Howard's Conan in one of Frazetta's pieces.

Trailer looks exactly like the last three films. Clunky designs, nonsensical action, Transformers being relegated to side characters in their own movies.

I hate what Bay has done to this franchise. I would love to see an actual director with talent and a genuine love for sci-fi take on this property.

Someone said Transformer trailers were all awesome, movies all sucked though.

Now they just bypassed the great trailers and gave us the suckage up front. :lol

:lol

The movie is about an action figure line. Therefore, I guess I never took it too seriously to begin with. I never expected an in-depth story to it either. Again, I'm just watching these as a guilty pleasure and to eat popcorn with the kids. :wink1:

That's the reason why I watch Bay movies. Mindless action flicks for the times when I don't want to do any processing.

The trailers used to be quite good too. Not sure whether it's the trailer itself now or if peoples views have changed over the past few years.

Exactly. For a series that famously rebooted itself and altered characters (or left main ones out completely) through the years in cartoon and comic form, I just look at Bays as another incarnation of a franchise that originally was a premise based on toys. Its not scripture.
