No kidding!!
Besides the obvious crappy writing, dialogues and acting of all the human characters in Bayformers movies, the characterization of the robots are a kick in the nuts to fans… he turned beloved characters into bottom of the barrel clichés with lots of racist undertones and dumbed them down… which let's say is quite the feat considering this was based on a kids cartoon for starters...

In fairness, I thought Megatron in the first film was very well done. It was about the only thing I thought was well done, but still. Personality seemed spot on, despite no Welker voice.

The show was iconic, clever and a highly original property. At the time there was nothing cheesy about it. There is a difference between something being fun and being cheesy trash.

The property has amazing adaptation potential. Bay doesn't understand or care how to best use and translate Transformers.
He lacks the basic understanding of what makes it tick.

Michael Bay is a trashy cheesy director who makes trashy cheesy low brow entertainment for the masses who just want to see **** and explosions. That's simply what he has done here.

What a wasted opportunity.

:goodpost: :exactly:

This should be printed on a poster of Optimus riding Grimlock.

no....

I get it now... :slap :lol But Still, that makes it look like he is hardcore. It should say something like Michael Bay must be stopped lol

I'll be seeing this regardless of the expert analysis from this thread. It's a freaking movie about giant Robots and something I really don't need to take that serious. Forgive me.

Wow... I like how they tried really hard to add that "intense" music to make this feel more serious. Seems very forced.

I still like the designs though and will watch it, but this will not be better then any of the others... potentially worse. :lol

Well I am a big fan of a Transformer, so whoever is making the movie...I am probably gonna watch it

I never said it wasnt fun. To me something can still be very good and enjoyable yet still cheesy. As a kid watching it on Saturday mornings no it may not have been cheesy to us at that time. But once you're older and realize what the show was putting out its just so silly.

I've enjoyed all the movies so far. They've been fun and entertaining and I've been a fan of Transofrmers since I was a kid. I've never felt as someone put it kicked in the nuts but to each their own.

Here lies the mindset of Michael Bay's general audience. :lol

Looks no different than the other three.
Exactly what I was thinking. I kept waiting for something new and different to catch my attention, something that didn't look like more generic crap, but nope. :lol

Same here. Maybe I just don't know movies, lol. Whatever
