I know they were trying to at one point. Hope they do!

You mean Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, David Kaye did the voice for Megatron on Beast Wars. To answer your question Michael Bay did confirm on his website that they will be given the opportunity to audition for the roles but no one is locked in, yet. I do know a guy working on the teaser trailer for next month and he said about the designs "Don't expect them to look like G1 characters, they have a lot of gears and wires showing." So we'll see.

That's like telling Harrison Ford he can audition for the next Indiana Jones movie. Cullen and Welker are Prime and Megatron, and that's not fanboyism, that's just straight up fact.

that would be awesome if both are on board on this project, or all the original voices for that matter. i'm just hoping that they are already in the workd for the second part because I don't this to be just a one time thing.
