generally the decepticon designs in part 1 all SUCKED donkey's globes.

i liked the autobot designs tho.

seems like bay has taken some of the criticism to heart and cleaned up the transformer designs. they look a little less overcomplicated now. and i like megatron's new arm cannon. at least he's starting to resemble the megatron i know and love.

didn't care much for the first movie apart from a few cool scenes. hope part 2 is better...

I'm sure some simplification on the bots was necessary to lighten the effects load. Many more bots on screen, seems to be bigger action involving them. I'm sure with time and budget, you get a few complex bots or a ^^^^load of simpler ones, and the choice was a ^^^^load of them.

I'm sure it's with intent, but it does suck with Starscream, Megatron and the helicopters decepticon being flyers and roughly the same colors, hard to tell at times who you're following, at least the autobots have distinct colors to stand them out from each other.

Ayup, Starscream really should have had red and black robot parts below the plating of his altmode. Would have evoked his G1 self well without needing to sacrifice the realism of his altmode.

The way to see this movie is on IMAX. Never before has there been 4k rendered character animation shot on full IMAX 70 mm film. This is a first and the results are stunning. You will see Optimus Prime in a few shots where he is actually perfectly to scale on the IMAX 50 foot tall screens.

For IMAX, I created a slightly longer cut with more robot fighting. Four scenes were shot on IMAX cameras so the screen will fill the full IMAX screen for these scenes..

So I guess I will be seeing this at the IMAX.

Some interesting Spoilers about the movie for anyone who wants to read them.

Yeah i hope so i don't normally go to the cinema because of idiots spoiling the film but i think i will to see this one.

Yeah I know what you mean, I hate people talking through movies telling eachother what might happen next or start yelling stuff like that, but at least with a Bay film you can rest assured that the movie will probably be so loud that you can't hear the other people :lol

Not that I don't like Michael Bay films, he does make some very entertaining movies :rock

Yep. Cinemas can suck with alot of people around talking.
There was one case in which I actually liked people talking though and it was with the new Friday the 13th remake , girls screaming , people laughing and joking. It kind of added to the atmosphere somehow. :lol
I guess with a movie like that though theres not much story to pull you in anyway , just alot of people getting killed. :lol

There are some movies in which I don't mind too, but those aren't many :lol

A friend of mine is actually someone who can't shut up during a movie. Not that he shouts or anything, but for some strange reason he needs to ask every five to ten minutes if I'm still enjoying the film...
And for an even stranger reason, I'm the only one he asks that stupid question...
I figured it's because I watch by far the most movies of all my friends, and he might think that as long as I like it, the movie must be okay... :lol

Sorry, drifted a bit off topic here... :peace
