Thanks cadaver for the heads up on the better belt for Mal. I jumped in got me one on the way. Thanks again. I'll strip down my Mal, Jayne and Zoe tonight and measure the belts.

When order the belts from Stevo, you are supposed to measure the waist of the figure you are using. So measuring the belts will not help. When you get them they will be WAY WAY too big. Trust me. I had my dad, Old Grandpa, measure all of the belts for me and I had to return the belts to Stevo and have them shortened.

Hey LC, sorry I didn't get back to you, but I've been a bit under the weather. Still not feeling great. My son is right, I measured the belts for him and they were all way to long. When you measure be sure and take into consideration that you're going to want the rig to be worn on an angle, and not tight around the waist, accept for Jayne's. Use a string and wrap it where you're going to want the belt to be. Mark and measure the string you marked.

And if you are gonna replace Mals belt with the more accurate one, it doesn't really matter.

Hey Scott. Thanks for the heads up about Mal's replacement belt. It arrived today and is a big improvement over Stevo's.

Not a problem!! I think it really fills out the waist a lot better then the standard one. The only thing that bugs me is the mismatched holster, but I can live with that. You should post some updated pics OG!

I got my last piece I was waiting on from stevo for my Jayne and I gotta say it looks amazing! I put my old Mal belt on for his pants belt and and put all of his rig on his combat belt. I'm gonna mod the Le Mat I got to make it look more accurate.

So should I post pictures or wait till hes finished?

There are so many interpretations and visions that the members come up with. Love to see the photos. Not as good as pix of my grand kids, but right up there.

I know what you mean. Waiting for parts is so painful and this thread is my only relief from that pain. where are your updated Mal pics OG? :wink:

Ignore the terrible paint job on jayne and that hole in his jaw. its being taken care of.

Cadaver, love the extreme look of your Jayne. The only thing he's missing is a cigar. Really love your take on him. Nice touch with the dog tags. You got him leaning toward The Comedian. Got to rework Mal's new belt a bit, not quite red enough to match the holster.

Cadaver, this figure is your own take on the character. Look at my Kaylee. No where in the movie or the TV series did she carry a teddy bear. I just felt that it was in her character to do so. If this is what you think your Jayne would be like then it's right. There's no hard and fast rules how your figure should look. You have to please only one person, YOURSELF.

Thats one of the things that I love about these characters is that they didn't always wear the exact same outfit.

that is so true. mine is a blend of tv and movie because I liked stuff from both. I just love the loaded up, got enough guns to take on an army, Jayne.

on a side note, does anyone know where i could get a medal like the one on is MP5 rig?

And that's exactly what you've achived. Well done. Just noticed that you have no decals on the figure bases. You should contact Evilface and correct that.

If you go and check out his decal thread you will see my batch of firefly and serenity decals. The serenity ones ate for Mal, Jayne and Zoe and the firefly ones are for Wash and kaylee. Then it's a break till I get out of school.

I took off one of Jaynes pouches and moved a front one to the back. It was hiding the sweet knife that stevo made.

Hopefully I will have some wash WIP pics up this week. The only problem I'm having is tracking down a TT slim that doesn't cost an arm and a leg
