I'm having a little trouble deciding on some pants for my Mal...does anyone have any suggestions? I took a look at the cpt. Antilles pants and they look pretty good, but I don't know where to get my hands on a pair short of buying the figure.

Thanks for the links to those sites.

With respect to Mal's pants.. the "Chainsaw Killer" Hot Toys figure has brown suspendered pants that I may try to use. I ended up winning the figure during spooktacular. Little did I know that it might end up supporting a Firefly custom.

I also picked up the Jack Krauser figure, using a gift card code, with the hopes of using a bunch of the figure's accessories for a Jayne custom.

I was looking at the Chainsaw Killer pants, but it mentioned they were meant for use with the fat suit. And this IS Cap'n Tight Pants afterall.

I picked these up:

I have a pair in hand on a Narrow TrueType if you want to see them on a body. They're actually pretty nice. A little darker than that pic shows. But again, comes with suspenders attached.

Paid for my sculpts today. PM'd SMG about the two items he's producting and I need to get onto Stevo for the rigs. I've already got Jayne's stuff that Stevo makes.... I did ask him about a year ago when he first put up the Mal & Zoe whether he would be making Vera - he said it was a possibility and I shot him a bunch of screen shots. Unfortunately I don't think he ever did finish it.

haha! Poor Doctor Tam... I actually like Simon more, the more I rewatch the show. He's a great balance to the rest of the crew....but I get where you're coming from!

Next up will be Kaylee, as I started her long ago. After that, I'm still not sure. Wash is a big contender for me. Hopefully I'll be able to get another three sculpted this year.

The boots I bought (don't worry, they'll be brown eventually) were way too tight to get on with the pants, so I have to do some trimming. Cheated on the last pic and just rolled of the paint legs up just to give you an idea of what they'll look like.

And don't mind the shirt. It was a beige on I had lying around that I was trying to dye using watered down acrylics. Didn't exactly work out.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally got the pics of the Mal coat on the website just in case more want to check it out. If you click on the pic at the site you will see full views, front and back. I will be sending out some emails for those who preordered wave 1 to let them know that they are ready for shipping.

Does anybody know if the coat was meant for the Narrow Shoulder TT or the regular? If it was meant for the regular am I better off using a Dragon sized version since it might fit the Narrow Shoulder TT a bit better? I emailed SMcG about this, but am asking here too just in case anybody else knows. I want to place my order ASAP.

When you order the coat there is a dropdown menu with 3 or so options that lets you specify the type of body it will be for. TT is one of the options

Ryu,
Even if you plan on using the Narrow/Slim TT body, I would still go with the TT option. The main difference between the Dragon and the TT Body is the coat length and the sleeve length. The standard Dragon body is a little shorter in stature and the arms are a little shorter.

UPDATE ON SHIPPING: Some of you should have confirmation emails for shipment of your Mal Coats. The rest of my US orders are set to ship tomorrow as well as my International orders.

CAN YOU STILL PREORDER NOW? I have had a couple of email asking if I can still preorder for wave 2(it looks like you can on the website). I am not going to take any preorders for Wave 2 until February 1st. I will also have the Zoe Vest up for preorder as well. I have set aside time specifically in my schedule for these orders and I will only have a one week preorder window or about 10 coats and 10 vests whichever comes first. Wave 2 Preorders will start shipping around February 15th.

WHY IS SHIPPING TO CANADA SO EXPENSIVE? This has been one of the downfalls of my shipping calculator to Canada. It is considered international but really isn't as expensive as other International shipping. If you are in Canada and want to place an order, please drop me an email so I can calculate your shipping costs for your order.
