Except have they learned anything? How many years did it take to get the Samurai Champloo figures?

And now six months go by with no movement on House, Dexter, Lone and Cub or Samurai Champloo? That is not a sign of progress.

Sure, but then again, they're small and not Sideshow or HT. Take a look at Enterbay for instance and you'll see a very similar situation. I think in fact (but I've already said so in some previous posts) that their real problem is not delay. They only give that feeling because they announce they will make a licence too early, causing that sense of delay. If they did it only, say, three or for months before they actually release the item, then everybody would say they work fast!

So, IMHO, their real issue is communication (which is verified by the way they handled their pre-order scandal a few months ago).

To sum it up, GREAT products, BAAAAD communication!

thanks for the info! i'm thinking of using the alpha for River and Kaylee from Firefly.

Yeah, the headless small chest body would work well for them.
I love that set of sculpts, but Kaylee creeps me out a bit.

You need some let me know, I have 4 or 5 extra's I will be selling
for the normal price. Still waiting on the extra replacement feet,
which won't come until after Comicon. But I made a figure with
boots, and the current feet work fine with boots even though they
are made for high heels.

Looks like House has a new sculpt, much
improved I would say and he's on the EVO.

Plus Paul Phoenix on the new EVO Muscle body.
Man, that is so 1980's in a good way..

Along with a better EVO & EVA picture. They're looking closer to
the prototypes each time I see them.

Though I am not a big fan, I guess Zorro is getting a lot of
attention. Looks like the comic Zorro and he's on an Hispanic EVO.
Hmmm, could this mean more skin tones for the EVO & EVA,
that would be awesome.

Wow, didn't expect to see John Carter of Mars figure & Goro statue

John looks pretty good on the EVO body..

I'm not sure if thats what they look like. Have not really followed
that story or seen much artwork. But John looks pretty good. Like that
metal sword, boots, leather work and all armor accents. Looks like
a lot of real metal on this figure(buckles, armor & boot accents).

That's a Thark, a native Martian from the books.

A major licence and a character absolutely necessary to complete the Samurai Champloo set.

For all IKE-CON's dismissive use of icons, that is not very reassuring or professional conduct at the biggest event of the year.

The truth is most members are also members of MWD and very much in love with female figs. Now there used to be a time when the choice in female figs was very limited and Triad and Louie provided excellent sets.

"Excellent" dans une perspective très étroite, monsieur.

I want more female figures on the market, with the exception of Fuu, they have never done a female figure I would not be embarrassed to own as a woman.

I honestly wonder if Fuu's breast were just not big enough to hold the Triad teams interests and now she has been abandoned.

I was just passing along information that others(other than you) wanted
to see or hear about. I'm not looking to reassure anyone of anything.

While I was commenting on your levity, which while it annoys me, you have ever right to express, I clearly meant the remark about "unprofessional" to be directed towards Triad, the business in question.

I want Triad to succeed because the Jin figure I own is proof they can deliver and the hobby needs more than just SSC and HT. It is not like I have no interest in their commercial licences, but I will never have a Fuu or Dexter or Ogami Itto, if they putz around to the point they go out of business. The preorder thing a few months back was a bad sign and Dexter and Fuu vanishing is worse.

I don't know if it's a bad thing that Dexter is on the back burner for the foreseeable future. From the little I know about this whole hobby, and Triad in particular, it does appear to me that Triad's sculpts are second rate. House is not at all convincing. Why try to compete with the kind of photorealistic sculpts that HT, Enterbay and DiD are putting out? Let these players do their photoreal thing, and stick with figure development. As much as I love Dexter, the only thing that would persuade me to get a Dexter figure is a HT-quality head sculpt.

I'm a bit disappointed to see that Fuu isn't in the con line-up. Hope she's still in the pipe line.

Zorro will be cool enough for the price. No interest in House, but he looks terrible. Looks like Lone Wolf and Cub will still get made--thought those were in the crapper, but they are clearly not the movie versions. I think I still would rather have the Alfrex versions.
