Another thing I would say is yes, young Kevin Flynn looks artificial, but they pushed the envelope of what can be done, they did not quite get there in realism, but it paves the way for future movie effects to evolve to perfection

I went in NERVOUS after every other pro review was screaming 'disappointment,' but as a sequel to Tron, I loved it....the ending was a bit unexplained, but all-in-all, damn entertaining....

Thought the young Clu/flynn look was pretty well done. Some shots had the Uncanny Valley going on, others looked amazing. All in the eyes - they cant quite get them right with today's tech

Just got back. I'm probably in the minority on this, but it thought it was pretty dissapointing. Too many ideas borrowed from other movies. It should have been called Tron Wars. Even the light jet looked like one of the ship from Star Wars when it was parked. I saw Gladiator, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars all over it. Didn't like the CG Clu either. Was cool to see a young Jeff Bridges in the beginning, but got annoying after a while. Also I agree with someone else that it didn't feel like a computer world at all. It felt like the real world, with all the light off, and white bars of light everywhere.

Things I liked:
Jeff Bridges
Bruce Boxleitner (or however you spell his name)
Soundtrack
Classic lightcycle

Well, nothing's perfect. As Jeff Bridges said.

And Avatar ended up being the highest grossing movie of all time, and yet it was the most unoriginal filme ever made......so I dunno.

Clu looks like ass no where you put it. But it didnt bother me. Thankfully, I got over how ____ty he looked before the movie. :D

I did enjoy Rinzler.....er......you know....

I KNOW this is blasphemy, but I didn't see the original TRON until a few days ago. My verdict, after years of people hyping it up? (Not that anyone cares) It was understandably groundbreaking, beautifully made and just plain pretty to look at... but boring as hell.

The ideas and concepts are fascinating, and I love Bridges in everthing, but it seemed like the filmmakers were too busy with the effects to tell a compelling story. I understand its place in history and it's still pretty to look at, but it's like watching someone else play a video game (the idea) and just as tedious.

Why is it even called "TRON" after a supporting character, when Flynn was clearly the focus?

I still would like to see the sequel as long it's a little
more entertaining and action-packed.

Good review. :D

The ending was pretty emotional. I loved it. Not the ENDING ending. The ending ending was blah. Same as the original.

Pfft...boring my ass. :rotfl

Just got back from the IMAX

Did I enjoy it? Yes! Did I love it? No

Maybe I went there expecting an action fest and it really wasn't, I wanted more games on the grid!!! What we seen was brilliant just not enough for my liking :(

I didn't at all feel connected with the characters, I thought it lacked emotion in places which badly needed it

I am like Dino in that Clu looked great in my eyes and will surely now pave the way for greater things to come soon

Overall I did like this movie I just didn't love it

I believe it's because Tron is the program designed to fight on behalf of the other programs in the first movie.

Yeah, Tron rocked in the first movie. He really needed more time in part 2...which is why I thought for sure he was going to have a big fight at the end when he turned back to blue Tron. My brother and I even looked at each and said "nice, Tron is back!" Well, that didn't happen....still amazed they did not use him in the end battle. They should have had a disc war between Tron and CLU2. I really thought Tron was going to remove the helmet while blue and show a younger CGI Tron, similar to Flynn....

I thought the CGI Flynn looked really good at times, especially in darker scenes. Unreal really.

I had an interesting conversation with a coworker today. He asked me if I caught the hidden references. I laughed at first when he told me but after watching it again tonight it crossed my mind. I suppose a lot of things can be seen differently if you look for it. Just curious if anyone else read more into it.

I saw hidden references too......what did your co-worker tell you?
