I was just watching the recap of the previous episode, his ear was already bleeding when he was feeding on Hadley. I think it was blood from Sophie Ann's guards that he forgot to wash off.

Re: Eric's bloody nose/ears... I noticed it too. And was again confused.. but more importantly... was reminded of being confused by it during the previous episode....

BOTH Eric's AND The Queen's ear's/nose were bleeding in the Queen's Day Room while Hadley was present. Eric's ears and nose were perfectly fine when he first grabbed Hadley... so I have to assume that she has some effect on vampires.

Yay? Nay?

yes dharper.... i actually thought the same thing JUST after posting previously. Think you're right... and tonight Eric was simply sneaking around during the day to get his message across.... ah well....

Cancer is a serious threat Battsworth, and not to be trifled with. I must remain vigilant is my cancer prevention.

Jerk

Yeah, I think the mythos was set up previously that Vampires could remain awake during the day as long as they were not in sunlight, but not going underground/sleeping took a serious toll on them. If you remember last season when Lorraina was holding Bill captive in his hotel room both of thier ears and noses were bleeding.

So, I think the bloody nose and ears of Eric and the Queen was meant to show that they were conducting those particular scenes during the day and thus avoiding detection by the King or other vampires. In the latest episode Sookie's cousin was coming out of the Queens room with a slutty outfit on...meaning she was boinking the queen when no vamps would know.

I also think that this might mean that ONLY Eric knows about Sookie's true nature. He wasnt acting on the order of the King, hence conducting business during the day.

I think Eric being awake during the day makes sense as far as the blood goes.

This was a very gay episode btw. Literally. :lecture

That makes the most sense! :hi5:

:lol:rotfl

I like that.

I'm sure Jen and Gruesam are still reeling from it. :lol

I thought tonight's episode was pretty good. One thing I didn't understand was why Eric's ears and nose were bleeding when he was talking to Hadley. They weren't in the scenes before or after. :dunno

I'm still not sure whether Franklin is dead or not.

And the hillbillies get creepier and creepier.

I was confused about the blood on Eric in that scene as well.

I think their ears and noses were bleeding last episode because they stayed awake all day without going to ground or whatever.

Yes. It's called "The Bleeds" from staying awake. See Jessica's blog for more info.

So the hillbillies are what exactly?

Sure as Hell not what they are in the books. In the books, they are not so bad, especailly the leader...but they've clearlly taken a dark turn here. Also in the books they are...

Werepanthers

which seems likely by the way everyone is acting around them.

All I have to say is that Sookie has been working out because that ass is fantastic.

Where's Jen when you need her? :lol

Here I am! :wave

I was out of town and just watched the episode - and it looks like your question has since been answered. :duff

And Eric was yummy as ever - even if he does play for both sides. He still looks good. :D

I thought the bit between Sookie and Alcide was sweet - about them each saying if they were smart they should fall in love with each other. He's another one I thoroughly enjoy watching. :naughty

Good episode I thought. It looked in the previews that Franklin just might be back. :yess: I was kind of sad to see Russell's boy toy go....he was rather funny with all his drama.

Well, Franklin was in this week's episode in a way. I'm wondering if he's just going to keep popping up in Tara's head. I hope he really comes back.
