I don't know what anyone else thinks, but tonight's episode marks the point where this season has started getting really interesting. First time since this season that I was eager for the next episode to come.

hard to believe there are only 3 episodes left. The hour tonight went by really fast and I agree, it's only now starting to get interesting. I've enjoyed the season so far, but it was impossible to live up to season 1 which was interesting from the first minute. Does anyone know the timeline jump from last week to this week? Maybe a few months?

Per the news report at the beginning of the episode, the shootout, knows as the Vinci Massacre, took place exactly 66 days prior to the time where last night's episode kicks off. So you are right. It was only two months and give or take six days.

I've loved this season since the beginning because I embraced the fact that its so different from season one and just gone with it. But tonight was undoubtedly a big turn and massive reset for the show, just like what season one did at the same point in its run. Now things, ever so slightly, are starting to come together and the interest level is now off the charts. Waiting for next Sunday is going to be unbearable.

At this point, I'm convinced Ani's dad Eliot is the guy that's running things through his hippy church. That's how Chessani, Pitlor, and Caspere all met and he's definitely up to something. He mentioned he had better places to be when Ani asked him why he was back around, so he showed back up for the first time in a while right after Caspere was killed. And he's also the only other character that appears in the opening credits aside from Ani, Ray, Paul and Frank which is a hell of a coincidence.

I'm pretty sure the lyrics change each episode. I haven't transcribed them or anything, but I'm pretty sure they're different each time.
I don't think so. Pretty sure it's stayed the same for the first four episodes. I have it as my ringtone. This altered version feels so mismatched and out of place.

Just watched this episode. Despite the overall (probably inevitable) dropoff in quality from season 1, I think this season does some things even better. Particularly the tension that the show builds. Tonight was one of the most tense TV shows I remember watching.

Spoiler based on the teaser for next week's episode:

I noticed the only cut scenes with Farrell for next week's episode were of his showdown with Ray. Would suck if he gets killed for real this time next episode. He's still, by far, the best thing in the show. I think the show as a whole feels like it's of a slightly higher quality level than it is purely due to Farrell's performance.

Good point, I noticed that too. David Morse seems too well known as an actor to have such a small part. In movies where he has a small role, the part is often a pivotal one.

Also probably not a coincidence that his silhouette is filled with the image of what is most likely women trafficked for the sex trade, or something even more sinister.

Could that be the edge of an altar on the left portion of the image? Could just be my imagination as well.

That would be interesting. Ani's dad is definitely involved big time. This whole thing does feel very cult, almost Bohemian Grove.

You do realize that Guerneville, CA where Ani mentioned her father's commune was located in the 70s and 80s is only about 15 minutes up the road from the real Bohemian Grove. So yeah. That's gotta be a big deal to the story, especially since in last night's episode Ani and Paul made a little trip North into the woods to find that lodge and the blood stained shack where someone was tied to a chair and apparently killed.

I do. That's why after seeing that scene, I immediately thought about Bohemian Grove. Things got very interesting.

Ah, okay. It seems like they changed a lot more than the second verse this episode though.

All this talk about the theme song and I haven't mentioned the actual show. [emoji38]

I have a feeling next week will be the end of Velcoro. I don't see him controlling his anger against Frank, and I don't think its a fight he's likely to win.

I wish we would see more of Kitsch's character. Not sure if it's just me, but I feel like Velcoro and Frank seem to have the most screen time, even though Woodrow and mezzeritis (spelling) are also main characters. I'm not complaining though as Frank and Velcoro are my favorite characters. It'd just be nice to see more time spent on Woodrow. Don't really have any interest in McAdams or her character. I've never cared for her as an actor and her character seems too smart for the " all men are evil" attitude she has going on.

Ray and Frank aren't going anywhere with their little Han Vs Greedo thing. I'd bet good money they are going to realize Blake is both ****ing Frank since Ray saw him with Chessani and Pitlor, and that Blake is the most likely rapist of Ray's wife(ginger). If he is indeed part of the cult, it makes sense he likes to rape women.
