Leonard Cohen is awesome, and, right now, I'm kind of in a state of disillusionment and sadness.

Doesn't mean every single song the guy ever did is awesome, though. I've liked a bit of his stuff in the past and seen him in concert but this song is still absolute s***. I hate listening to even a second of it and can't ffwd through it quick enough.

That's true. I don't mind it, myself, but, I'll be honest, the back up singers really blow, and they kind of mess the whole thing up, in my mind.

Yeah, back-up singers generally tarnish a song, IMO. Off the top of my head, only song I can think of that I like that features them is Love & Rockets' So Alive.

This album has backup singers from start to finish, and isn't tarnished one bit.

I think the True Detective tune is well done.

I wouldn't listen to the theme song on my Ipod, but it's distinctive and helps to set the tone, so I like it for that. Cannot stand that singer in the bar, though.

I just caught up on the last two episodes, and some very tense stuff. Yes, season 1 was better, and yes, this season is convoluted as hell, but the tension and drama of this season is fantastic.

Calling it--no one will die in the season finale :lol

I think Franks going out in a blaze of delicious Scarface glory at Chessani's mansion and that Blake kinda lied/****ed him. If you remember, Osip at the party mentioned "twelve million won't fit in a suitcase". He'll probably get Osip at least though.

I think Burress will probably get popped trying to clean up Ray. Those shots of him in a weird disguise gotta be to lure him out into the open. Honestly not sure on Ray and Ani which is pretty exciting. Ray at the airport could even be using Frank's escape plan.

And I think the extent of what we'll see solved is the jewlery store robbery and who are the orphan kids(who probably killed Caspere). Leaving the rapist and Catalyst investigation still somewhat up in the air but maybe at least being looked into by the feds.

A lot wil happen in a 90mins finale, cant wait!!!!!!

I love the fact that until now we were pretty much in the the fog, discovering the clues as they characters discover them.
Change of pace from all those show where they spoon feed the audience.
Season 1 finale was a letdown in terms of who was the killer and all but yet it was a great journey.
I think it will be the same here, it was way less "sexy" les confortable than season 1 and some of the writing was cringeworthy, alsolike season 1, but still a pretty interresting show... feels like a James Elroy tv show too...
Only ting that annoyed me is the camera work, looks good morst of the time but it lack personality.
they should have stick to one director shooting it all.
But i doubt Pizzolato would have been ok with that.

The last four episodes really redeemed the show. I didn’t think the ending was perfect but it was tension filled and was pretty damn unpredictable. The ending was bittersweet.

That it was. I knew in my heart that it was going to end bloody. That heist was something to behold, though, and, at least, they went out with a bang. My biggest disappointment was that the son of a ***** who put Woodrugh down didn't get a bullet in his head, but you can't win 'em all, I suppose; at least the elder Chesani and the Chief got what was coming to them.

Holy ****, though; the stuff with Casper went full blown Oldboy.

They could have redeemed it all if it had ended Departed style with Burress walking into his apartment, and Ray's dad stepping out and popping him.

Fred Ward in all his grim noirness avenging his son, rather than weeping into an open bottle definitely would've taken the edge off, but **** me, man. I'll say this: the characters were damn likable, and you felt it when they left.

Ray hurt a hell of a lot more than Tony Soprano or Walter White, I'll say that for sure.

Did you guys notice that reporter at the end is the same one Ray beat the **** out of in episode 2 or whatever.

I think the difference lies in his character. Velcoro was a good man who did some bad ****, and everything about him reflected that. You can see how damaged he was because of his past, and it seemed like he spent every moment trying to get out from under it. Colin Farrell was too damn good, man. I need to watch a comedy or something. The Strain should help take my mind off things.:lol

Man, that heist was brilliant! So great to see Frank cap Osip. Whole tear gas idea was brilliant. Very gutted to see Frank and Velcoro dead (and that his last message to his son didn't get uploaded). Definitely have to watch it all again, now.

Really only thing I can fault in this last episode is that ****ing singer. There must be something going on where they are trying to sell CDs, otherwise I can't figure it out, as she's annoying as hell. I hate music video montages and this show was incredibly shameless about cramming them in. Kept hoping someone would burst into the club and blow that chick away.
