Just saw the trailers for this for the first time over the weekend. Should be freakin' awesome. I guess it's cool be a huge Chris Nolan superfan nowaday, but the Coen Bros. are 100X the filmmakers he is.

I'm not a big John Wayne fan, so I never saw the original.

With the number of films they've made I would hope they would be better. And word on the street is they'll be checking street cred at the door. If you haven't seen the original your pass will be revoked.
 
Well, obviously Nolan isn't an over-rated hack on the order of, say, Paul Thomas Anderson or Darren Aronofsky. So I want to give him his due and say that he is 1% the director that the Coens are :peace
