Shame....Easy pass for me as well....I wish it was a PF statue....Why are their PF's taking so long with LOTR? They have more LS busts at this point and they came out after the PFs!

I think any way you do a twilight ringwraith it is never going to turn out perfect. Sideshow so far with the statues they have done of him I think are wonderful. This one being another great addition. GG animated maquette I think is the best solution for those who don't like what SS has done. I think the Wiki is one of those characters such as the KOTD that is somewhat diffuclt to capture just because of the ghostlyness of the chracter. Bravo Sideshow though Bravo!:chew

Well said Woodsy, I guess my 1000 ES estimate will be way out judging by the (I think) over harsh criticism for this, its not meant to look like Miss/Mr World guys, Wiki was one ugly *****r and I for one think this is bloody stunning and will be even better in hand!! Should look amazing alongside Gandalf LS bust!!

Nobody is disputing the talent and hard work that went into making this bust,
and the sculptor and painter and anybody else who had a hand in creating it
are amazingly skilled. Having said that though, the likeness is severely off,
including the Jay Leno/Arnie chin, too tapered waist, incorrect overall facial
likeness, and even bad hair. The original WETA statue and also the original
WETA bust are both far better interpretations, that got the likeness perfect.

This was another must have for me, until I actually saw it. I passed on the
LS Hulk bust for the same reasons, and am sad that they won't be in my collection.

It does surprise me that we dozens/hundreds of people can pick out what is
off with the likenesses immediately, but the creators and art directors can't.
Even bringing in another Sideshow employee to look at the bust while it was
being created may have avoided finishing something so off to the WK likeness.

I'd love to think that Sideshow would go back and fix the areas that everybody
has listed, and if they do I think this bust will be a winner.

Basically, spot on summary JS. If you like it, fine, but this is a very poor representation IMHO. I don't collect the LSBs so it was already a pass, but if I did, I would be extremely disappointed right now....

Here are a couple of great reference shots of a nazgul and the witch-king on Weathertop compliments of RoboDad. Looks pretty obvious to me the SS LSB version is pretty accurate to the movie, moreso than the SS/Weta bust. If your looking for a "slick" or "cool" version of the WK....then go with the Weta bust. If it's movie accuracy you're looking for... then go for the SS version!

Except that the top picture which this bust looks much more like isn't the WK, it is another of the "nine."
